The Strand Hotel

Good service from arrival with Rowan being friendly and helpful helping us with the parking space and with one more detail, two refreshing bottles of flavored water. Our bed was not so comfortable because it was a little deformed. In the morning a light breakfast with a variety of cereals, fruits and whole wheat bread with the toaster so that you can serve yourself to your liking.The unbeatable location being more or less a 5-minutes walk from several restaurants.

such a lovely little hotel. stayed in en suite room and it was amazing and good price. rowan and team were so lovely and made the stay even better. breakfast was great too. 100% recommend!

Very welcoming and a nice quiet location. A decent budget hotel, but be aware that parking is very limited and insufficient for all the guests, even off season. Also, some rooms have shared bathrooms. Breakfast is generous and mainly good, but the sausages were the worst quality possible and the eggs were old with dry wrinkly yolks. Overall, the hotel is good value for money.

Picked this place for the location next to the O2 and wasn't disappointed. About a 3min walk but just far enough that you don't get the night life passing by. About a 10min walk down the hill to the seafront and Boscbe beach so perfect for that too. Off street parking was a real bonus, although it's limited so get there early.The welcome on arrival was really friendly as were the staff generally. An okay continental breakfast but to be fair it was very well priced at £6 each compared to the £15 a head I'm used to, and in some places down South a coffee costs you £6! The garden area is really nice and surprisingly spacious.The only negative is the rooms are a bit tired and our family room wasn't ensuite. The beds were very firm and everything creaks in that Victorian building kind of way. No sneaking at night here! That said there were free pringles and water which my son loved, a good TV and it was clean.As a base for an O2 show overall it was perfect.

Good value and good place to keep all your belongings and sleep. The rooms aren’t huge but they are big enough, and the bathrooms are clean. Staff are friendly and there’s a lovely pond outside and a place to sit in the shade :)

Stayed here 5 years ago with my brother Kim. We enjoyed our time here the food was great the hosts were friendly.We planned to come back in 2020 but covid kept us home . I lost my brother in 2021 to covid as a result the memories of this place and the beautiful beaches around are all the more dear.

As promised, staff were polite and helpful. Even though we stayed on a Saturday night, it was very quiet. No cooked breakfast which was a bit disappointing. Room itself was clean so no complaints there. Shared bathroom was clean with a good size and effective shower.Overall, it is a B&B in a bit of a rundown area so be prepared for what you have booked.Would we stay again? Probably not; we will stay somewhere ensuite next time we're away.

Loved this place! Karl was so kind and welcoming, and accommodated me changing the # of guests last minute. Room was nice and clean as well as the bathroom. Not very close to the city centre but a short walk to the beach! Would stay again for sure.
