Ignite Records (Level 2)
The best record store in Birmingham by a mile. Rich is knowledgeable and passionate and always has a recommendation or two and his hit rate is around 100% as he’s taken the time to get to know what I like so over the years, his own label is also full of little gems. Can’t fault Rich or ignite long may he and ignite reign over Birmingham’s music store scene.

Quite possibly my favourite record shop in the UK. Rich has a seemingly never-ending knowledge of the music he sells and his recommendations always land. Priced reasonably, with new releases you'd struggle to find in more mainstream establishemts, why would you go anywhere else? Thanks Rich!

By far the best place in Birmingham City Centre for all your vinyl needs. Ignite is well stocked with new rock, metal, punk & indie releases. Rich is knowledgeable & enthusiastic and he'll always do his best to get hold of any record for you if he doesn't already have it in stock.

The best. Ever since his tenure at Tempest records back in the day, Rich at Ignite has been an enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable pillar of the Birmingham music community. He never fails to do his utmost to help customers get hold of any hard to find gem, as well as keeping a well stocked selection of fantastic scope. A must stop for anybody needing any vinyl needs, from pop newbies to grizzled old punks!

Known Rich when he was back at Tempest Records. He has since moved on to new pastures with Ignite Records. Extremely passionate and knowledgable about his music and lost count how many good bands he has introduced me to! Picked up three today and the service continues to shine. Highly highly recommend

Ignite Records (Level 2)
This is the only indie record store I go to in Birmingham. The owner Richard is amazing. You can find so many rare vinyls in his store. Can’t wait for Record Store Day this year. He always stocks indie exclusives vinyls. Absolutely amazing store if you’re a vinylholic/collector. I believe more than half of my collection is from his store lol.

The best record shop in Birmingham. Always chock a block with a great range of stock, from classics, big sellers, new releases to more underground/independent artists, punk, indie, metal/rock. Rich will always do his best to get hold of a record if he's not got it in, and his prices are great too. Birmingham is lucky to have Ignite.

Rich has been selling me records for over 25 years, he knows what your tastes are, will signpost you to bands to check out and will always help track down some obscure release you might be looking for. He has so many records in his racks you never know what gem you may find! If you're an indie, alt, emo, hardcore, punk kid then you can be sure to find something! With his own label as well he often puts out limited presses from awesome bands that's always worth checking out.
