Goosewood Holiday Park

Friendly park, accommodation clean and well maintained. Good food available in the bar/clubhouse, fishing available on site. Frees are well priced. Came here first 2022, back again 2023.

Absolutely wonderful caravan site. Best I've ever visited! Staff are so polite, friendly and helpful. The site is kept very clean and safe at all times. The fishing lake though a little low on water this summer is absolutely wonderful! There's a pool and bar with amazing food. Absolutely no complaints about this site, the staff do an amazing job and the services, showers etc and absolutely perfect!

We had the most fantastic time at Goosewood Holiday Park. The site was beautiful, a lovely lake for anyone who enjoys fishing. The club on site was excellent and beer prices are very good. The lodges are a wonderful size, big enough to easily live in, we could not find any faults anywhere at Goosewood Holiday Park and a BIG Thank You for make our long weekend wonderful.

Lovely site and the hard standing pitches are a decent size. The staff are friendly and they even gave us a courtesy call the morning we set off. They have free WiFi in the pub which is pretty decent and on site, but got told wifi on site is hit and miss depending where your situated. The pool is nice and they have a nice park for the kids and a decent sized field for your dog with a fence round. If you like to use your mobile data just beware as certain networks have bad signal there. Would highly recommend this place and would go again

Goosewood is a brilliant place to go with a touring caravan. We have been there a few times now over the last few years. The staff are very friendly and always try to help you in any way possible they have a small shop which is enough to get you by. There is also a bar and an indoor pool. The facilities are clean and tidy it's only a five minute drive to the shops that have everything from Tesco's to Hay's travel

To anyone purchasing a caravan from flowers of May Scarbrought! Can’t thank all staff ( wardens) and especially Stuart ( sales) for the purchase of our second hand static caravan on the Goosewood site Sutton on the forest near York, the sale / purchase of our caravan, we purchased “and “ Note! We was signed up and in the caravan within only a few days of purchasing !contact Stuart !as had a couple of small issues !resolved in no time all under warranty! He couldn’t do enough to have us settle in, “Oh “got to mention the wonderful-wardens whom also so were helpful in any queries we had! Honestly They work non stop serving holiday makers and keep this site absolutely immaculate! Talk about cut the grass? It’s like fourth bridge here !- they literally finish and begin all over again! Talk about committing to the Job, And if needed there are available and on hand 24 hours a day, this site is so quiet and has everything you need for the dream holiday! I’m writing this review as I’m so pleased with all the staff and amenities. They do allow tourers for short breaks if you want to sample the site walk your dog! or maybe enjoy fishing in one of the lakes, a swim in the large indoor pool or a lazy relaxed cold drink out on the seating area overlooking the playground areas ,and keeping a safe comfortable eye in the sun on your Tots! Then this site is for you, they also have Amazing Lodges with hot tubs to stay in! Why go pay a fortune for the other competitors ( won’t mention the name? But begins with”C” and ends with a “P” ?.And your bonus here is you are 15 minutes away from the amazing historic City of York ( river cruise /goast bus/ dark goast walk and more , and also 10 mins away from a lovely little village called Haxby with everything you need :- quaint church, /pubs with draft beer on tap , Sainsbury’s/co-op/ costa n loads n loads of small businesses also ( free 2hr parking in two large car parks within the village ),3 great charity -shops/Copelands bakery/Mark Thomas bakery/Millers fish and chips restaurant ( award winning -using the finest dripping, or vegan upon request ) this is a very relaxed village with everything you could need - “oh”and ? restaurants! - Well that’s my honest review of flowers of May goose wood holiday park .Note :- book in advance mind you - Always booked up! I am not paid for this review! I’m doing it out of been so thankful for the site and Staff.

We had our own caravan so I have not commented on rooms. We had a great relaxing time there Diane, and Dave couldn't do enough to help us, very friendly.

Goosewood has some very fond memories for us, not the same without Dad but still a lovely place, wonderful staff and beautiful lodge with a well maintained hot tub! We will be back for sure. Hubby caught his biggest fish to date, so he was very happy!

Went to goose wood at york on 8.10.23 had a lovely weekend with family in one of there willow lodges with fishing lake in front of lodges with picnic benches my husband and grandson loved the fishing while me and daughter and grandson loved the hot tub park was lovely and clean bar area was friendly( kids loved indoor swimming pool extra charge )nice little shop with most essential out door park for children and enclosed foot ball park really enjoyed all facilities. Hot tub checked and cleaned every day friendly staff. The only thing was the cleanliness of the showers in the lodge black mould in shower didnt look good but will definitely be back and would highly recommend for couples and families thank you to all staff for makeing it enjoyable
