Aldwick Pets

Seriously? Even putting the fact they are selling rabbits in a rescue crisis aside, these poor creatures are in TINY cramped cages. Absolutely appalling. The RWAF (leading Rabbit Welfare Organisation in the UK) states that rabbits need a minimum of 3 metres x 2 metres. You wouldn't put a dog or a cat in these tiny cages and sell them in shops, so why do this to rabbits? Stay clear of this place, please instead of giving money to those who neglect rabbits, if you wish to have rabbits in your life, contact a local rescue who will not only find the right rabbits for you, but offer lifetime support, and you'd be saving a life at the same time.

Update March 22: Still very happy with this shop and take my guinea here for his grooming and boarding. Staff are very helpful and I trust them with my pet.Even now I've moved out of the area I still bring my guineas here to be groomed. Very knowledgable and friendly. They never mind me loitering to look at the baby animals they have for sale! Very happy with their covid restrictions too

Quite intimate and cluttered, but they have the most beautiful pets for sale (and for board). The owner wasn't overbearing and had a great deal of knowledge and expertise. Word of warning though, you will probably want to leave with all the pets, especially the large fluffy bunnies, which are like vegetarian puppiesI'm torn about going back because I'm not sure that my heart can handle leaving again without a fluffy companion.Yes, we crave pets because our teenagers don't love us anymore, but that's relatable, right?

Highly recommend! I went in there because we really wanted a rabbit to become part of our family and Aldwick pets have given us the most beautiful baby girl. They are very knowledgeable about rabbits and gave me all the information I needed. The lady that served me was extremely helpful and recommended things I needed. I did not feel pushed to buy anything at all. She gave me suggestions on what possibly my rabbit would like. They really care about the animals well being. My belle came in on a Sunday as a rehome rabbit and they will not let her leave until she settled and adjusted as she had quite a travel and thats very stressful. As impatient as I am, I am very impressed and glad that they just don't give pets away immediately and that they make sure they settle first and are 100% ready to go. Any questions I have even after bringing Belle home, they still are happy to answer. Will definately be bringing my business here again!

Lovely and helpful, we brought a hamster here he was Lovely Calm and friendly.Well stocked for all pets.

We went to pick out a hamster today and have brought home the friendliest and most beautiful boy and couldn’t thank Aldwick enough. He is already exploring and coming to say hello to us and we’ve only had him a couple hours, they bring up their live stock so well and I’m so impressed by how happy and healthy our hamster is. I was also happy with the advice I was given and the lady was very friendly and informative. Thank you so much!

We wanted to specifically buy a mini lop male bunny rabbit. We had a good selection and when I took the rabbit for a check up with a view to a castration procedure, the vet indicated that he might be a 'she' but wasn't sure.3 months later, our rabbit was not settling down, being destructive, moody, uncorporative and needing 100% supervision that we decided to give him up to a rescue centre. They informed us that he was in fact a 'she' and not a min lop!!Unbelievable that the store can tell us lies on 2 fundamental things where we were sold a rabbit that we weren't intending to purchase!

Great local pet store. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We bought 2 lop eared rabbits from AP's and they're absolutely lovely. I now buy all out pet consumables from here rather than any of the national stores.

We called in today as our rescue dog had stopped eating. The lady that served us was so helpful and gave us some free samples and advice. On arrival home our dog ate her first meal in a couple of days. We are so grateful. We will be calling in tomorrow to buy some food.

Very helpful staff who really care about the animals.We adopted a rabbit who was given to them for rehoming and always bring him back for nail trimming and boarding. The staff were great at advising on how to care for him and they always give him extra treats when he stays.They stock a great range of products for rabbits such as hay, pellets, treats, toys and even treatments such as spot on for fleas. Well stocked supplies for other animals too such as birds, dogs, cats and rodents.We prefer supporting a small business over large companies such as amazon and they often offer better prices too. I wouldn't pay much attention to the few negative reviews they have received as they're quite unfair based on our own personal experiences with the shop.
