Flamingo Beauty - Luxury Nail Spa in Reading

I don’t usually leave reviews but I thought I share my experience. Got my nails done on Friday the 21st and by Wednesday the 26th they started to peel off. I have attached a picture of how they were last night (they are worse now). Poor products/technic but I would expect shellac to last at 2 weeks no less than 5 days. No recommended

I am writing about my daughters experience or should I say experiences. On the last two occasions her acrylics or gels ( not sure which they are) have not been good. She won’t be returning. Last time they were as sharp as razors, this time they look grubby, too thick and some smudging and shape not good. She has showed them to friends who are not impressed. Real shame as she had two good experiences there prior to this. I feel sad for her spending her hard earned cash and now going to pay to have them removed.Further to the reply from Flamingos to this post. I am sorry I have no desire to damage your business. After the first occasion I didn’t post a review I phoned up explaining that the nails, flat ended were as sharp as glass, shredded paper and fell off. The manager kindly phoned me back. You did say that you guarantee the nails and she should have come back but I explained there wasn’t time in her week. I explained to that because of previous positive experiences she wanted to book again and you said you would offer a £5 credit on her account, kindly accepted.When I spoke to you I said my daughter was quiet and would not complain…if you think these nails look good both in colour and shape then we have done you a disservice and I apologise but suffice to say three have already fallen off and friends have commented on the thickness of the nails, one pointing upwards, one smudged and the darkness around the nail bed.I will say again that prior to this she has had two, maybe more positive experiences and I will also say that she has very short nails which I am sure are not the easiest to do.

This place is a joke we went here before and they were very nice and fast so gave them a second try, booked an appointment with some friends for 10am, I just wanted shellac and it now nearly 12 and not been seen and atleast 5 people with more longer and complicated nail design have gone before. staff are very rude and don’t communicate with eachother well and no apologies given for waiting so long

In love with my nails! Jiy did my nails exactly as I wanted! He is so talented and professional. The salon is clean and with a nice atmosphere. Would love to come back! ♥️♥️♥️

I love this place. Around two years ago my friend recommended Flamingo, and single then I keep coming back. Staff is always nice and friendly, service is quick and professional and my nails are always great quality after the visit and last forever. I've tried other places, but I haven't been as satisfied as at Flamingo.

They overbook themselves which has a negative effect on the work standard. They didn’t start on my nails until half an hour after my appointment start time; and when they did my nails it was clearly very rushed, I later saw that part of my natural nail was not even covered by the nail polish!Although I had asked for a French, the lady wanted to use pink nail polish for the base, and when I said no she found a more suitable colour, but definitely still not a French. Because of how hectic everything was, there was simply no time to even argue or comment. After a very quick and substandard nail job I had to pay £30 which is ridiculous. Will not be going there again.

This is the best place i’ve been to get my nails done and have been getting them done there ever since my first experience. Their customer service is 10/10

Got my nails done today at flamingo beauty. This is the 3rd time here and I got BIAB on my nails. It is the best place I have been too. Highly recommend

Not great. I thought based on the nail art that they would be good, but it’s just a bog-standard high street quality (there is a girl who just does the nail art and to be fair it looks like she does an excellent job). They were in a huge rush, did no pushing back/trimming of cuticle and went slightly over the cuticle so it’s already starting to lift. The tips went on at slightly different angles so some of my nails look fine and some point upwards. She didn’t file well, so it’s raised and lumpy at the cuticle, no nice smooth line, and the nails themselves are unevenly thick (some are fine, some are very thick and uneven). She put a lot of product on the edges of my nails and when I asked her to file this down, just filed the free edge to a point, but didn’t address the excess product along the sides of the nail which is lumpy and spilled over onto the skin - again, already starting to lift. If they last a week I’ll be amazed. Didn’t clean up under the nail either, so there are bits of glue and product. Just careless rushed shoddy work.
