Crossways Veterinary Surgery

If we could give them six stars we would!! We were with Crossways for nearly 8 years until recently moving abroad and it was very hard to say goodbye. We went through a lot with them over the years and couldn't be more grateful for the expert care and kindness they gave both our cat Harry and dog Beauregard. We went through skin allergies, dental extractions, a severe back injury, a bloody diarrhoea illness, compassionately navigating end of life decisions and numerous other incidents in between. What I will remember most was how brilliantly they managed the urgent trauma of our Labrador being attacked by other dogs and requiring over five hours of surgical repair. The days after his attack were so critical and they supported him (and us) every step of the way. He recovered better than anyone could have expected...and to the day we left he adored going to Crossways to see his team! Every single person there is genuinely prepared to provide the best possible care for our animals. We wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone...they are absolutely the best!

Our dog, Cody has needed vet care over the last couple of years with some major operations involved. He has received the best care you could wish for and still loves going there to see all the friendly people. His prognosis was quite poor last summer but, thanks to the magic of Alan and his team, Cody is going strong and loving life.

What a lovely surgery! Moved to the area a year ago, and having used several practices over my many years of dog ownership, I have never had such incredible service and advice. I would thoroughly recommend them, they are looking after my two treasured dogs with boosters etc and I couldn't ask for better. Thank you so much.

Very friendly with us or our pet, who seems always happy to see them. They always have time for questions and advice. We can easily drop in for a quick check up between 11am and 12pm, without appointment.

Closed without any notification leaving customers in the lurch. Been closed a long, long time. Feels permanently closed. Would give zero stars if I could.

Brilliant care provided for my Syrian hamster when he needed surgery to remove a growth near his eye. Decent prices too and had a breakdown of the bill on the invoice with out even asking.

I recently had to take my very old, poorly hamster to Crossways and even though he unfortunately they could not save him I cannot express the love and compassion these vets have. From the very first phone call, the receptionist was so friendly, caring and helpful up until my last call to discuss. The vet was so informative and caring, she really did show her love for my little fur baby. The whole team were beyond exceptional and I cannot thank them enough for the serviced I received. Medivet should be proud to work with this branch. I will be recommending this vet to everyone I know. Thank you all so much for caring for my Ernie the way you did and trying your best to save him, I will forever be grateful to you all.

Such a shame that Crossways has closed. Donna is such a wonderful vet. She has been so wonderful with our pets. Wishing her success in whatever her new adventure is.

I have been with Crossways for 33yrs with all my pets. Started with Allan and Di and then Donna who is a fantastic vet and has become a friend to all my family. They are compassionate and helpful. Will always have a great word to say for them.

I took my two toy poodles all their lives to Crossways and always found everyone very friendly and helpful. I took Pepe many times in the last two years of his life as he had lots of health problems so got to know Alan and Donna very well, he was referred to a couple of specialist vets by Alan and received the very best treatment from them as well. I lost both Rusty and Pepe last year and Donna was so kind and compassionate when she put my beloved dogs to sleep. If I get any dogs in the future I will certainly use Crossways again. Many thanks to Alan and Donna for looking after my dogs so well over the years.
