Toothill Prestige

Bought a 66 reg Mini from Toothill. Realised the multimedia screen had a lot of failed pixels in it which made using it (especially for navigation) virtually impossible. I feared the worst, thinking Toothill would give me the old runaround treatment. But Tom took it back in, arranged a courtesy car for a week, sourced a replacement screen (which is mighty expensive) and had it fitted. We've now had the mini for 2 months and are absolutely delighted with it. Secondhand car salesmen and garages are usually the subject of much discussion, angst and comedy but I wholeheartedly recommend Toothill and will definitely be hoping they have the type of car I want when I am next looking. They have my trust.

DO NOT BUY A CAR OFF THESEPurchases a Golf Gti from these November 2021 drove it off the lot 30mins later it broke down took it back next day and got told there wasn’t a curtesy car available and that train station was over the road, Owners son is rude and unprofessional.1 week later car was fixed cost of £700 dealer paid drove it again for another 4 months weekend car broke again this time I had to go threw the finance company to get it fixed because the dealer sold me 1 years warranty which is about as good as chocolate firegaurd no garage would touch it and u had to pay the cost upfront for the repairs if they did want to fix it, finance company had to come out and inspect the car with a mechanic and do a report which took nearly 2 months to sort out for a recovery truck to come collect my car I then had to wait 2 weeks for the car to get repaired cost was nearly £1600 in repairs so I’m 4 months the car had £2300 and I had only put 2000 miles on the car then got the car back after 2 and half months to drive the car for a further 3 months for it to break down a 3rd time and the repaired work had failed so car was rejected.Stay away from this dealer specially the son who treats customers like dirt if u don’t believe me read some of the other bad review

Be careful when buying from them. The car that I bought in December was advertised as clean bodywork but had a dent in the rear back wing that I spot only after I collected.Also car had cam chain issues, I returned the car for the chain to be changed, they said will give me some documents to document this. When I picked up the car was told no paperwork will be provided. The problem with the cam chain was not fixed so they probably did not changed the chain, only oil as oil was new. I asked to speak with the mechanic that did changed the chain, but they did not replied to my emails. So now I have to go on warranty to change the chain, and will cost me £600 on top as the warranty only covers up to £1000 per claim. So if you buy a car from them and you have a issue in the first 30 days just reject the car as they say will fix it but actually they do not do anything.

Follow up to my previous feedback after purchasing a car from Toothill Prestige. The engine had a cheap aftermarket cylinder head and gasket fitted from China. The shocking repair and small loss of coolant were obviously done and there whilst in their possession of this car as i was told it belonged to the owners daughter who had it 2 years.I had to tow the car to a reputable VW specialist over 100 miles away to have an engine replacement at £3500. i have included the chat transcript and photos.I realise now why the salesman pushed the extended warranty so much, in fact gave me it for free included in the deal in the end at £150 a year. Warranty company wouldn't touch it.So thanks for putting me under immense financial pressure whilst trying to support my family in a pandemic. It's taken me nearly all the time in ownership to finally get to the bottom of the coolant leak and cost me a fortune.If you buy a car from these dealers you really need to be extra vigilant.I'd rather buy a car off Matilda's Dad ...

Recently bought a Range Rover from this garage, and they were absolutely brilliant. Tom went out of his way to accommodate getting the car to me and trading in another. Car delivered pristine and exactly as expected. In my experience, very hard working people and a genuine garage. Highly recommended from a happy and grateful customer.

Went to see an 18reg. VW Passat. When lifted the hood to have a look at coolant and the oil the salesman proceeds to take the key away and close the hood to stop from looking any more, proceeding with are you a mechanic mate? Nah mate I don't think this is the right car for you. I think you need to leave"Shocking

I purchased a 2012 C Class Mercedes from this company and I'm extremely happy with the car and service. The staff are friendly and helpful.The driver's door appeared to have a slight intermittent fault unlocking so I popped back in to speak to them and they had the issue resolved within the hour - under warranty, no charge.Very much recommended.

Purchased a car through these through a finance company who assured me these were a reputable dealer, how wrong that was !Car showed a service fault within 10 miles of driving off the forecourt, needed a clutch, fly wheel, brakes and a oil pump.Then despite 2k in garage bills (part of which we had to pocket ourselves) the car went in catastrophic failure after 29 days.One phonecall my husband had with the garage they were actually laughing in the background at the situation.Trader then hid for weeks, leaving me without a vehicle and still having to find finance for a broken car.Please don't use unless you want the chance of weeks of stress, illness and being stuck without a vehicle.

I’d been looking for a clean Golf Gti for a while. Went to see the one Tom had, and bought it straight away. The car was absolutely immaculate and exactly as described. All Tom’s cars are of a top quality, would’ve bought a few if I could of done. Totally painless buying process from start to finish, if these guys have the car your looking for save yourself a lot of hassle and go see there’s you’ll not be disappointed. Can’t recommend this place enough, top cars and a lovely family run business. Thanks again Tom.

Bought a VW Passat from here and was very happy by the service I received.Very helpful and polite and well mannered. My car was ready for collection very quick any problems I identified were rectified straight away and I drove away with an extra full years MOT and fresh service on the car. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to buy from here again.
