Guy on the till is too busy on the phone to speak to the customers he is serving. Did not tell me he was adding a charge to use card payment. He should ask you if you are happy to proceed. Poor customer service.

The loveliest staff, all of them are very polite and helpful, always! Cheaper than the co-op for most essentials too. Very happy it’s my local shop x

Top place, owner and the workers are great people in the community; always have something new in the store like Cheetos, small things like this make a huge difference! Also love their range of snacks at £1, very rare to find this! The family that run the business take care and pride in it, they are clean, they ensure things on shelves are in stock, and anything out of stock is clearly labelled, it's a shame the same points raised for Allendale News, cannot be said for the Newsagents round the corner, on Francis Street! I don't frequent this place too often as it's not extremely close, but I do pop in every now and then :) will be visiting soon though, for sure!

Rude and not very helpful. Was my Evri collection point but decided to reject the package as it was too big". It was only a medium sized box which could have been placed anywhere within the large premises other than the designated shelf which was not designed for package storage. Not particularly helpful and I was only informed after I had signed for the package which was not very transparent. Avoid using for package collection."

Great local corner shop. Has everything you need if you have run out of something or forgotten it. Very friendly family run place.

Bad attitudes. Ignorance. Bad atmosphere. They serve a purpose but with poor service. Previous owner Binder was a legend and dearly missed.

Feel so lucky to have this place as my local newsagents. Friendly, helpful, well stocked & convenient opening hours too. Excellent parcel service as well, which I really appreciate for my Vinted postage & collections. And samosas to die for! ☺️
