Desmond Merrion is a fabulous old school tailor who makes wonderful suits and is a joy to work with. He will take care of you and works hard to get you exactly what you want--he will show you all the options. His jackets fit beautifully and comfortably. He made suits and a blazer for me, and a jacket for my wife. He is detail oriented, professional, friendly and funny. He does what he says he'll do and there are no surprises. Very highly recommended--and if you've never had a bespoke made suit, try it out with Desmond. You won't regret it, a thousand times better fit and quality than store bought.

Des is a true craftsman in his field. One of the best around and a really great gentleman. Looking forward to getting my next suit made by him

Bad tempered, rude and abusive language. Not what is expected of a tailor. Could not make expensive dresses (£800 each) that fit. One only could be saved following a remake in London. The other is beyond remake. Ladies suit also had to be remade in London. The list goes on. Pity, had high hopes for this man. Spent over £5000 with this man and the only satisfactory item was a ladies suit ....eventually. Shame.

A PROPPER bespoke tailor... Not the usual stuff you see on the high street for £600 to £900 that is a made to measure in a factory....if you don't know the difference then give Desmond a call....all the pieces are cut by hand and the result is a million miles away. I have a Semi-Bespoke suit, and although more money that a made to measure, the fit and quality are far superior. One might think you couldn't tell the difference, but when you see the suit on, anyone can see how the jacket hugs my back, the lapels have a nice roll and the shoulders have good structure.. If you are not sure about spending the extra money, I can tell you it is... Where ever Iwear my suit, I am by far the best dress man, and get lots of admiring looks and comments, I feel really confident and can 100% recommend spending a bit more. What's more after 3 years it is still like new. I'm currently saving for a full bespoke and there is only one man I trust... Des Merrion. Also, consider the price of a Savile Row suit... How much money goes into the fancy shop? All the money in Des's suits are in the materials and the labour.As you can tell, I'm passionate onate about good quality and timeless style, and spend months looking for the right tailor...
