Haven Craig Tara Holiday Park

We went back to Craig Tara for a long weekend with the kids as we loved it 2 years ago. This time has definitely been disappointing.The caravan itself was modern and well cleaned. Unfortunately the beds weren't made and we had no towels even tho we were supposed to have. Once we went to the reception it was all sorted.The chippy and the Chinese within the complex was very disappointing and really a waste of money as the food was not edible and overpriced. They used to have good Chinese within the complex that wasn't there anymore. Really disappointed.The shows for the kids at night were also disappointing, the characters only performed for a very small amount of time, which my daughter was very excited to see.We went to the restaurant within the complex at around 10am and they didn't have half of the menu. Overpriced for what we got.The selection of arcades and 2p machines are great and the kids had lots of fun. The swimming pool never disappoints, kids loved it.Overall it was a disappointing stay for us and the kids and we are not thinking to go back anytime soon

I took my kids here to enjoy some of the fun activities a little while back. When we were there I had the pleasure of being served by a Chinese employee called Leo, he was in charge of the bungee jumping station.He was excellent with my children and was able to identify and support one of my children who has additional needs to feel included.A real asset to the holiday park and should be commended for his enthusiasm and professionalism.Thank you Craig Tara for employing such an excellent staff member.

Great location and facilities. Always go for a Silver package as the vans are good quality and the views from Alisa Brae are the best. Got this one for less than £100 for Fri-Mon.There is a good selection of food outlets on site but I find them a bit overpriced so when to local supermarkets and cooked ourselves. Didn’t take the passes for entertainment. Just booked Hideaway to save more money to spend going out.

Park is in a lovely area and the beach and views are fantastic. Apartments run down and dirty. Food & Drinks expensive and the majority of bar staff did not greet us very well and did not look like they wanted to be there, activities expensive for how long they last. Too many drunk idiots in the live lounge, not what we wanted to see when we're there as a family.

We had a fantastic time. Caravan was clean and well maintained. Good choice of activities and great walks around. Splash zone was wetter than we expected. We'll come back when we have a chance.

We booked a silver caravan which would have been great if it had been cleaner. We took everything that we needed with us but it would have been helpful to have at least one roll of toilet paper in the loo upon arrival! The mattress on the king size bed in the bedroom is really hard and the mattress on the pullout bed is very uncomfortable..We had to put the duvets on them to cushion them. In the kitchen half of the cutlery was missing and the oven was dirty. Apart from that the kids love it and the location is lovely.

Went as a family of 9. Read reviews before going , so we really weren't expecting much. Caravans we both got were spotless clean. We had brought so many cleaning products, we were able to take back home with us. I am literally one of the fussiest people with cleanliness, I had no complaints what so ever. Staff on every activity took time with our younger kids to help them out.. Swimming was great. Every floor had cleaners scraping the water from the tiles and tidying the toilet areas. We have booked for next year..Gold caravan was stunning..Silver a little narrower, but furnished very well. Grounds all around were spotless clean.

Caravan was spacious enough and two toilets an advantage. Fantastic park for the kids plenty to keep them amused. We had a great weekend would definitely go again. Food was delicious no matter where you got it from and staff are really friendly

First time here, and I really enjoyed my four days. If you have kids or grandkids, they will love it very much, as there is plenty for them to do and keep them occupied. Good gift shop, with a wide range of products. The fun pool was absolutely fantastic, and I had a great time in it. The place is good and in a good location. Caravan was clean and well equipped with what you need. Staff were friendly and helpful.My advice would be to book any activities you would like to do in advance as we found most things were fully booked.Absolutely amazing views throughout the area.The view from the caravan looking to the sea is excellent, including the sunset. It's fantastic for a family holiday. I just got back on Friday, and I'm looking forward to going there back again.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was our first time in a caravan park.The caravan we had was classed as a saver option but was surprisingly very good. With the exception of what we were advised we needed to bring with us (towels, toilet roll, washing up liquid, hairdryer etc) it had everything we neededThe caravan was spotless and very comfortable.There's plenty for families to do including swimming, amusement arcade, beach etc. As a couple we were using the caravan as a base and didn't use any of the facilities there.We did have a walk along the beach which was clean and surprisingly quiet.Yes we would return and use the site as a base as it was very reasonably priced especially if you go out of season
