Pet City

Having used and spent a fair amount at this store I will never set foot in it again and strongly advise to shop elsewhere.I telephoned to ask if three items were in stock to save me making a 25 mile round trip for nothing.A young lad at the counter just said wait when I asked about an item, came back and just said yer. When I asked about another item his reply was we probably have it why don't you just come down like others and take a look. My reply was that's why I am calling so I don't waste a journey.His reply was I don't have time to run around for you we're short of staff. I said but surely has a retailer you provide customer service and at least be polite even if you didn't have time. He mumbled something like go do one under his breath then hung up.Very rude, vulgar young man in need of some training how to speak to a paying customer. Would have loved him to speak to me face to face like that but hidden behind a phone guess he can get away with it. Will never Use this place again at any cost.

Spent a fortune over here over the years yet the staff follow you around like your going to steal something (Asian guy) not exactly going to put a goldfish in my pocket am i ridiculous… Anyway the last time was the last straw i will not be coming again said hello didn’t get a reply, Asked for 6 guppy fish he never said anything just chucked them in a bag then proceeded to walk to the checkout got to the checkout he just told the other guy the price then walked away no thankyou bye or anything. all the other staff are fine no issues whatsoever i nearly said something but didn’t want to cause a scene as shop was busy! I get people have problems at home ect but under no circumstances should this be brought to work and be made to ruin your customers days

Always have what I need for my ringnecks and a good selection of bugs for a bearded dragon

I used to love coming here with my family to buy supplies for all our pets & have a look at the animals, but not any more.Arrived by car & parked in the massive car park no problem. Went into the store & noticed an assistant stood by the door who didn't say anything, no greeting or anything. Most of the reptile displays were empty, products way too expensive - I bought nutrobal for £12, the same product on Amazon is half that price!1 star given for the assistant who went to get the nutrobal as there were none on the shelf. The assistant on the checkout didn't say a word. No please or thank you, not one single word. Huge, huge attitude problem with almost all staff members it seems. Female assistant still stood at the door on my way out didn't say anything & didn't help me with the door. Shockingly bad service. Shockingly high prices. What's to come back for? Glad to leave

Avoid due to customer service. Its the worse i have ever encountered. Waited so long to be served, only to be told over and over we are on the way. Eventually attended the front desk, told we are short staffed, but could clearly see staff there stood about talking. Fed up of waiting. Walked out. Went to Pets at Home instead. When the staff that said we are on the way starts to then deal with others before you, it does make you think why, so go at your own caution. Lovely shop, shame about the service you get. Zero stars. Staff rude & arrogant. No manners, how are they sales staff? Need a reality check and training. Remember, Pet City, its ALL your customers that make you who you are. AVOID!

Called in today for some coral for my marine tank , the marine guy (sorry rubbish with names) was fantastic must of spent atleast half an hour with us giving us advice and answering the many questions we had, I will most definitely be a returning customer ,all in all the store has a good selection of everything , animals included , can’t say I experienced any rude or unprofessional behaviour like the other reviewers (quite the opposite) so my best advise would be go down and make your own mind up .

Purchased our first ever reptile. So helpful, really lovely staff. Very happy.Clean environment, all well maintained and tidy.Will return here for all my pets needs.

Tarantula loves the new enclosure, plenty of supplies for substrate, logs etc. The prices are really reasonable with a lot of different variety offered. Will definitely be returning here!!

Friendly staff excellent choice of items love the Aquatics and reptile area staff are knowledgeable. Only place I buy my dogs treats from at reasonable prices
