Food was very average - lamb roast and steak and ale pie were edible but little to get excited about. After mains we waited over 30 mins to be offered puddings with no joy but eventually went to the bar to ask for the bill to find waiting staff Sat with drinks. This was only 8:30 so not late. A real disappointment as in the area for a week and had a lot better food nearby.

An absolute gem of a place, from the welcome when arriving, lovely lovely staff, to the food, Boutique hotel feel in the rooms to the local friendly feeling pub. A bonus staying on a Thursday night is the pub quiz! Gorgeous village to wander around too with the river on the doorstep.

Great country pub. Tasty reasonably priced food and drinks. Good car park. Scenic location with outside tables. Function rooms available. Particularly liked the starter mushroom stuffed wiith couscous with lettuce and balsamic dressing, which although not a huge portion was absolutely delicious and I would choose it again.

Called in on a trip around the area..Lovely pub with great selection of drinks served by pleasant friendly staff..The food menu was varied and tempting but unfortunately we had already eaten, so will return another day to sample.

Fantastic vegan menu, so nice to have multiple options. Would highly recommend the bao buns (big portion size!), as well as the 'Vish' and chips (which could've had a more fishy taste, but was delicious nonetheless). Friendly service and nice atmosphere inside. Will visit again!

Went looking forward to a Sunday Roast both myself and my husband ordered the beef. Which was lovely but the vegetables let it down apart from the potatoes everything else was raw not just a firm was raw. We even paid extra for cauliflower cheese very disappointed that was hard and bland cheese and undercooked no cheese sauce etc.Let the waiter know to let the chef know but never came back with any response. Good but felt disappointed.

First time of visiting for Sunday lunch. Disappointing. Found the chairs uncomfortable. No ham hock starter available even though it was only 2.30pm! My companions had Sunday roasts (beef & pork). Pork was tasteless and neither tender nor moist. Veg pretty basic and obviously came out of microwave. Sausages ordered as extras with main but were brought out with starters. I had steak and blue cheese salad. Was not asked how I wanted my beef and had to send it back as it was rare. Mainly lettuce but blue cheese was tasty. Also only given steak knife but no fork. Toilet floor was wet with what looked like a leak. Sign up but there didn't appear to have been any attempt made to mop it up. I know the place is dog friendly but was surprised that they were actually allowed in the restaurant. On a positive note starters chosen were tasty. Sadly, don't think we'll be rushing back too soon.

My husband and I visited the Ribchester Arms on Friday 8th September and as it was a warm day we opted to sit outside. The lady came and cleaned out table had a chat to us and got our drinks. I'm not the biggest of eaters and get over faced but the burger and chips were too perfection my husband had a ham sandwich and chips both were really tasty and good value for money overall the service was excellent and we will definitely be coming back.

I didn't think the food was that great, it was okay but it was expensive for what you got, the service was good, calamari 5/10, garlic mushrooms 7/10, grilled chicken never seen a grill, steak and ale pie, cooked ages ago and was nearly black, roast dinner extremely disappointing. Wouldn't recommend
