Coming from London, it's pretty overpriced compared to Chinatown. The food is a good depending what you get but the portion size are quite small. Dim sum were ok, but I only ordered one, really just wanted cheung fun but they ran out and we weren't told :/To order your food, you need to complete an ordering sheet like those traditional dim sum papers, which is interesting but no staff informed us that we needed to go to the counter to order and you don't get the paper back once you make an order which is annoying if you want to order more. Also, it would be nice if they told us some items were unavailable. The HK milk tea tasted authentic, it was the better tasting item that we ordered. There are better places in Exeter to try

I and my husband have been there few times now. The foods, especially roast noodles were very tasty and plenty. I think it's good value for money. Important is, it's very traditional foods which you couldn't get that in the normal takes away .The lady (maybe it's boss) who is really helpful to recommend dishes and all diet requests with smile, nothing to troubled her at all.We will be back , thank you for lovely dining experience.

Cash only. Dim sum in Exeter, woohoo! There’s a big menu choice and it’s easy to be greedy as there is so much to choose from the two menus -dim and also another of bigger dishes. Have the seafood laksa it’s really good. The roast pork was good the dumplings also. Something for everyone.

I have been to the Sai Kung Cafe a few times over the last few months and I will definitely keep going there.Pros – Genuine, authentic Chinese food at affordable prices and excellent, friendly service all round. I lived in China for a good while and I can attest to the quality of the food, in particular the dim sum.Cons – Décor is hardly hip, but you don’t go there for that. Some days I want to eat somewhere flashy with generic food; other days, the quality of the food is the main attraction and I go to the Sai kung Café. Staff are also busy, but I always found they were still super attentive and bent over backwards to meet any request I had. The manager is a super nice lady who is very welcoming and a lot of fun – almost worth a trip by itself.Overall, highly recommended.

Excellent dim sum - clearly home made and large and filling with excellent flavour. You order from a paper menu, pay at the till (cash only) and wait for the food to arrive. Excellent service. Was pretty quiet when we went, which at least meant the food arrived quickly!

The place is over lit but food is what matters. Dim sum, roast meat with rice , hot pot and noodles were the main items on the menu. You pick what you want and mark on the printout and pay at the counter. Full of Chinese students and packed. In my day I had pot noodle and beans. Had ho fun with beef black bean sauce, rice with rubs and chicken feet and choi sum. Too much. Very authentic Cantonese.

We stumbled upon this restaurant when browsing around Google Maps for places to eat and I'm so glad we did find it! I had been craving proper Chinese food for a while and this did not disappoint! It was huge inside and the service was very friendly and efficient. We ordered the dim sum platter which consisted of five different varieties of dim sum (such as crab, siu mai, veggie, plus others) and you got two each - all were very well filled and delicious!! We also ordered the char siu cheung fun, fried custard buns, two roast rice (I had duck and char siu), and the mala spicy pork noodles. It was all delicious and so filling!! I wish I lived closer as I'd happily go again and again! Highly reccommend this restaurant!

Finally a cafe that serves dim Sum.The real thing, not just a few dumpings, but all you could want.It was as good as anything I've had in China town (london) so deserves recognition. This restaurant is for those who want something authentic not just a western version of Dim Sum.The service was 10/10 and the waitress Ivywas very friendly, welcoming and helpful with any quiries about the menu. The only problem I have with writing this review is I might not get a table the next time I go there. They might have to introduce a booking system !!!!!
