Quaint old fashion pub off the beaten track, friendly staff ,good traditional food ,good covered gardens to sit in well worth a visit if in the area

Lovely cozy pub, warm friendly atmosphere and local ales on cask, didn't eat but saw some of the food being served and it did look fantastic and the service seemed very relaxed and friendly.Looked to be fairly busy on the food front so probably recommend booking as the pub fill quite quickly.

You Won't Be Disappointed! Fantastic Pub, Excellent Food, Atmosphere is so Friendly and Welcoming. The Guvnor and all the Staff are Perfect. Highly Recommended.

Ye Olde Gate Inn
Went as part of a group of 20 people on a hen weekend. Great welcome and atmosphere. The lamb roast dinner was delicious and very reasonable. The fresh veg servings were huge. Everyone said that they had a lovely meal. Would highly recommend

Had an amazing roast beef dinner in a friendly welcoming pub. Good food and drink. Definitely recommend. Lovely choice of traditional desserts. Also a bonus as very dog friendly.

Stunning pub. Lovely cosy interior with open fires. Brilliant selection of local ales and beers, all exceptionally priced. Landlord was a gentleman and made sure to remember our names, having politely introduce himself. Food was lovely, exemplified home made pub food. Top top pub.

Great pub. Evidently very popular with locals but not insular by any means. The food was in large portions and tasted great, especially the dessert. The serving staff were all very friendly.The one minor negative is that we were by the door that led to the toilet and it would slam every now and then. Perhaps some padding would take care of this. But this is very minor!

Best roast we have had in Derbyshire. Plenty of food provided for the price paid. Don't eat before you go as you'll need an empty stomach to finish this amazing mountain of food. Great local ales, the pub has a lovely homely feel with open fires in all rooms. Would highly recommend.
