Lovely little theatre tucked away in a cosy backstreet. We came here to see the Grand Duke. I'd highly recommend this theatre if you'd like a dash of culture in a well connected part of town.

Every time I’ve been here the staff have been incredible friendly. The bar has quite a lot of seats for a small area. Drinks are decent price for a theatre bar with a simple selection. The whole building is very damp, with the bar area smelling particularly strongly of mould. The theatre itself can be very cold - I wore a coat for the whole performance in November, and wasn’t the only one.Seat numbers are easy to identify, and are straightforward foldable chairs. Don’t turn up late - I imagine it’d be incredibly embarrassing as there is only an aisle exit…Saw an accessible lift, not sure how straightforward this would be for wheelchair users and didn’t see anyone in the bar area who uses a wheelchair.Overall, decent place to see friends perform and I’ll definitely be back, but wish it didn’t smell so strongly and were a bit warmer in autumn/winter.

Titanic: The Musical was superb, and the whole building, and the atmosphere, is great, especially at the bar!

The Bridewell theatre is an absolute gem. Hidden near Fleet st. Best of all is that the seats are not numbered so if you arrive on time you can get the front rows and enjoy show like a VIP.

Good venue for small scale productions. A simple theatre in the heart of London with a modest sized stage and room for around 100 seats. Regularly runs productions from local theatre groups. Friendly staff and a simple basement bar make this a nice evening out with friends. Disabled access is limited due to lots of stairs.

I visited the Bridewell Theatre on Thursday 24th June 2021, as part of the ICMT's RENT peformance and had a friend who was performing in the cast. The theatre is well hidden off a small side street just off the A2O1 by Ludgate Hill. It is just before the Blackfriars Bridge. I got the Central Line tube to St Paul's and walked down. At first I couldn't see the theatre so I opened my phone up and it was across the street. Basically keep an eye out for the pink Cheeky Chico's Mexican Food restaurant and you'll see the Bridewell Theatre sign peeking out from the side street. It doesn't take long to walk from St Paul's. About a 10 min walk depending on how fast you walk.Theatre goers are asked to wear masks but you are fine like myself if you are exempt and clearly displaying your exemption badge/lanyard.When you go into the foyer, you will see the entrance to the theatre straight ahead and a small window for the box office on the left. There is much space so to the left is a staircase where downstairs are toilets and a small bar if you wish to buy drinks before the show/during the interval.Once we were able to go into the theatre ready for the peformance, seating is NOT NUMBERED and based on a first come, first served basis. There isn't a BAD" seat in the house as the theatre is compact and apart from the seats to the left on the floor

Great small theatre with excellent views of the stage from all seats. Very eclectic range of productions. The little bar shows some lovely prints and serves some lovely drinks!
