No matter if I am visiting solo for a drink or taking my elderly parents, every single time the visit has been great. The food, staff and pub is great. Highly recommend. A big bonus being dog friendly as well.

We had our wedding here yesterday and I can not fault the team! Jack was so easy to deal with in the lead up and he made our day so special. The food was incredible and all our guests were able to choose their own food for the 3 course meal from a bespoke menu created for us! Everyone had said they will now think about it when booking an event! Great people, great service. Spot on!

Just enjoyed a deliciously and huge Sunday Roast at the Wheatsheaf. Highly recommend a visit. Good atmosphere, attentive yet not overly intrusive service and good range of drinks. Special name check for Joe our server, he couldn't do enough for us.

Popped in on a Sunday roast as I was in town. The food was brilliant and the team members were very friendly. Shout out to Danny, the chef, who stopped by and made a fuss of the dog, and gave her some beef. We both had a great time

Don’t be fooled by the small appearance of this pub from the outside - as soon as you walk in - everything about this pub is pure class.Very welcoming, friendly and courteous staff and a great selection of drinks, burgers and pizzas plus a very enjoyable courtyard when the sun is shining.Highly recommended pub and will definitely be back here again very soon.

Visited with a friend on spec for lunch on a Saturday. Warmly greeted and sat at a nicely placed table. The decor was lovely with books and nooks. Nice choice of food, well presented. The chips were perfect. The red wine was served at the correct temperature. Made for a very pleasant meal. Hope to go back for an evening meal one day.

So happy we found this place. Couldn't fault it! The food was delicious, especially the cheesecake. The staff were really lovely and helpful. They are very dog friendly, even giving us some chicken especially for the dog. They're in the process of changing their menu, will definitely go back again to check it out!

Just returned after a fabulous lunch. The food was outstanding and the service was 1st class, even though they were short-handed. Nothing was too much trouble and the chef, Danny, was great at checking everything was OK and explaining what was available and was brilliant at suggesting alternatives. The food he prepared was excellent and you can tell that he cares about what he serves to you.I'll certainly be back for the venison, it isn't on enough menus but it was perfect. Everyone was pleased with their meals. There is something a little bit extra here. The items on the menu may seem familiar but some little touches and tweaks elevate them slightly.Can't wait to come back
