Oakwell Gun Dogs

Over the moon with our beautiful little girl. We have only had her for four days, however she has already mastered three obedience commands. Blown away by her retrieve drive. She has an incredibly loving and calm temperament, taking a whole host of new situations in her stride. Has essentially crate trained herself. Can’t wait to see where we can go with her. Would not hesitate to return or recommend an Oakwell dog!!

I purchased a springer pup from oakwell gun dogs two weeks ago my vet checked my pup when he had his second set of vaccinations and commented on how nice the pup was.I have found dealing with James at oakwell easy with a straight forward honest approach.I would go back again and trust getting a great pup and service.Arthur

Unfortunately, James mis-sold a dog hiding its severe trauma associated to gunshots/loud noises. On discussing the issue with him the following day, he blamed me as the owner and then after agreeing a partial refund later, decided not to pay or respond to me in any further dialogue. A marked change in temperament and character from his initial polished sales technique. First and only advice is to avoid purchasing from Oakwell Gundogs. If you decide to, certainly do not pay upfront until you are happy with the dog. Hugely disappointed to have financially supported this individual and his practices.

We also bought a dog from Oakwell Gundogs in early April and under the advice of our vet returned it the following day. We were immediately promised the return of our money but after contacting them numerous times and receiving further promises of payment over a period of several months we still haven't received any money. We were asked if we wanted a replacement puppy in mid June but we had to decline as we had sourced one elsewhere.If you intend to buy from this company, do so extreme with caution.
