Wonderful little surgery. Friendly staff. Never crowded. Great for prescriptions, blood tests and physio.

Changed hands and gone downhill! Had to wait 2 days for a doctor to call me back before they decided to say I should come in! Recently called to make appointment again told would be called back by a doctor-instead called by a nurse practitioner who said I had to tell her what the prob was then get a doctor to call me!! 3 phone calls before I even get an appointment!! Ended up going to emergency doctors at Liskeard! Will be changing surgeries too! No wonder peopl just go to A&E! Shocking service none of the original good old fashioned doctors left there anymore!

Our family have always been seen quickly, relative to our condition presented, with follow up care and calls arranged. Nurses, admin, pharmacists and all other caregivers have seemed genuine in their compassion. I have been particularly impressed with the speed and attentiveness of Jane Cross.

I have been with pensilva health centre for 40+years and have always had a good relationship with all doctors and nurses there, unfortunately today I had an appointment which is hard to get now with a doctor I'd never seen which is fine but I was in and out in literally 3 minutes I feel not enough care was taken and I came out of the surgery quite upset and feeling worse than when I went in.

Great village health centre, many doctors and good booking service. Has a dispensary aswell to save the trips to town.

The phone back System does not always allow you privacy as you may be with somebody or at work or driving when the call is received.

After years of good service here, the appointment system has just been significantly downgraded. Rather than phone up for an appointment in the usual way, someone now phones back to triage you and decide if an appointment is justified. It has to be taken on faith that the person calling you (and openly discussing symptoms with you) is actually a doctor, calling from the surgery. At that stage, you will then need to discuss what you would normally discuss in the privacy of the consulting room, from where ever you happen to be when they phone back. If you need an appointment on another day, you'll need to phone back on that day, so it's impossible to plan ahead and get time off work. Now being forced to find another surgery.

Stop hiding behind the Covid pandemic and claims of patient volume, your just using it as an excuse for bad service. 1month for a telephone call back is not exceptable. The practice was amazing when it was managed by McCartney, Ronchetti and Bug but it fails to deliver now. The Nurses are wonderful and some of the reception staff can be pleasent, but I'm afraid the noble profession of a GP is no longer respected by the general public... You have to earn respect I'm afraid.

I live in Upton Cross and choose Pensilva Health Centre because it is closest to me, however if I want to see a doctor I now have to travel into Liskeard. Ever since the merger with Oak Tree the practice has gone down hill and it keeps getting worse.
