Fantastic, tasty food served by friendly staff. Both dishes we had were amazing - a focus on quality , rather than the usual quantity that other places would choose to focus on. A bit of a student haunt possibly, but that only goes to show how good value it is. Very busy when we visited at approx 2:30 pm. We would definitely go back (even tomorrow, given the opportunity).

I've been here twice and the food is good, tasty and well made. I do think it's overpriced comparatively though, even with fringe prices, and the staff are busy so abrupt.

Food was delicious with a good price point, service was friendly. Most Thai restaurants in Western countries are too localised in terms of flavour, but Ting Thai strikes a good balance. Especially loved the massaman curry and beef salad.

Incredible authentic Thai food in the heart of Edinburgh for extremely reasonable prices. Our waiter was patient and kind and even gave us recommendations for places to visit and stores to shop at in Edinburgh. We loved each of our meals and ended up going again the next day. I would absolutely recommend the Pad See Ew with chicken; it wasn't overly sweet or full of noodles like many Pad See Ew's I've had in the past; it was chock-full of complex flavors with a variety of vegetables and Thai chili. If you're in Edinburgh and around the central district, you need to stop by this place.

The food was delicious. The waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and helped us choose two great dishes. The curry was amazing! Another great restaurant to visit while in Edinburgh.

As Thai food, it’s quite locally styled. The Tom Yam soup lacks the thick layer of flavour of a mixture of herbs that authentic Thai food has. It’s more a sour soup. The Thai tea I would expect it’s a milk tea with strong herb, but again it’s like a sugar drink. The chicken are all from chicken breast, it’s a good source of protein.

The place is located near the Edinburgh university ‘Teviot’ place. This place seems to be always busy. We ordered ‘Pad Thai’ with prawns and one with chicken , plus ‘Yam Sam Krob’. You can’t go wrong with Pad Thai. Lot has been changed since our uni days but not food.

I love this place. They’re waiters are lovely, the music is great and the whole vibe is fun. The menu is massive and great if you are vegetarian as you can sub most meat for tofu and vice versa. Similarly, loads of gluten free options. Only downsides - you often have to queue, their flavoured negroni is a bit too strong on the lemongrass/ lychee and you have to pay for rice separately which always puts me off the curry

The food was nice and the prices were excellent. However, the staff kind of ingored us, I'm not sure if it was because we were sat at a crowded spot (which they arranged) or for some other reason. The seats were a bit uncomfortable and there's a not too pleasant scent in the restaurant (I could tell it was fish sauce but I am quite sure that it's a smell that could be rid of and would not affect the quality of food)
