Staff is helpful and cheery. The food and service is amazing. But what tops everything is the bakery's cinnamon swirls. Delicious.

My visit to The Newport Bakery was an absolute delight! From the instant I tasted their strawberry danish, I discovered a new favorite. The flavors were truly exquisite, and the use of fresh ingredients was evident in every bite. The haggis sausage roll was equally remarkable, with its rich and satisfying taste. I'm already eagerly anticipating my next visit to enjoy more of their delectable treats.

Having read the reviews we thought as we were in the area we would try their cakes . What s disappointment!!!! The chocolate Blondie was awful, tasting of margarine & not much else, the base of the plum danish was like a thick layer of tough raw pastry dough & it didn't taste good. The croissant went straight in the bin, it didn't even smell buttery. Even Lidl make better croissants for about 1/3 of the price!A waste of £10.

I bought two things today, a roast beef croissant and a Banoffee Cruffin. The rocket was limp and grey, the beef was dry with a dried out, black edge to it and the croissant was stale. And then the banoffee cruffin was inedible. Leaking oil all over your hands, the brown thing around the outside (whatever that was) was bitter, tasted burnt and had a jerky like flavour to it, and the banana filling on the inside tasted like semi fermented banana - and not in a good way. I so want this place to be good, but on this experience, it seems a lot of style over substance. I'll try again (with different things) and hope it is better.

Fantastic bakery. If you fancy a treat this artisan bakery is for you. So far we've tried a haggis sausage roll, chicken, leek & bacon pie, strawberry cruffin and a cinnamon roll. All were delicious. It's not cheap but definitely worth every penny. They have branches in Dundee and St Andrews. We'll be back for more goodies in the future.

What can I say - the best bakery in the region! Such a great treats to your... Well... Soul, I'd say. Be it sweet or sour - one must pay a visit to Newport Bakery! Also, now that they have coffee - it is perfect place to grab some treats and enjoy the scenery of mighty Tay! I come here often from Dundee, since Newport is so peaceful...

Pastries are absolutely delicious! My favourite are the stuffed pain au chocolat's and stuffed cinnamon swirls (pictured below).I'd recommend putting in a pre-order if there's something you really want. Only reason I've knocked off a star is because I've done multiple pre-order before and quite a lot have been overlooked or wrong. Recently I've tried to pre-order but been told the item is subject to change, so it's kind of not possible to pre-order at times, which is slightly confusing. However, I can't fault the pastries and cakes themselves, always yummy.

What a brilliant bakery. This time I picked up a selection of pastries, this one is with rhubarb on top, and some bread. Tasted amazingly. Lovely customer service, can't wait to return soon.

Occasionally, stop off here for a delicious pastry and a flat white when away to Dundee to teach. Also your granola is phenomenal too, also sausage rolls, just everything.Only 1 thing I'd say, your staff make the Flat whites too hot, had 2 different people make them and it was the same, but I just wait a little and drink, but would be better if we can scoop straight away. Sorry for moaning.
