Avoid. Ordered a sofa bed in March, paid half, covid hit, obvious delay. Store Reopened in June, order was lost, had to be re-ordered, still not received mid September. No known delivery date, no call back from anyone over the whole period at all with any information, we have chased over 6 times, each time told nothing of substance re. a potential delivery date or status of the order. Now requesting a refund and no one is calling back to arrange and instead suggesting we request a refund from our credit card provider.

Quality of the furniture is great but customer service is terrible. If you get something faulty, count at least 3 months and many phone calls and stops at the shop to get a replacement. We bought a sideboard and received it with a door that wasn't even closing despite the stamp from Quality check...

I ordered my furniture all the way to London from Home Max. It would be an understatement to say that I was satisfied with the service. Not only the delivery was very fast, the furniture itself arrived in great condition and was way better than what I thought it would be. The delivery arrived three days earlier than expected.I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to check Home Max out. Great prices!

Not even the staff know what's going on here. Seems to be under new ownership and new business name but the staff insisted they'd never heard of Home Max Furniture despite being in the exact address and having the same stock as the Home Max website.Mental. Also the prices were ridiculous

Purchased bed frame and paid by bank transfer in full! No problem. Guaranteed 4 week delivery but nearly 9 weeks later, no sign of item or delivery date despite repeated promises. William was very civil and polite but this is of little help when seeking refund and cancellation. After personal visit and open phone call (owner hung up on me) in presence of other customers who walked out, refund was finally given in cash. Lovely looking products but don’t be fooled - AVOID where possible unless you have unending patience and plenty money to spare!

Good quality furniture with extremely poor customer service. The price suddenly becomes higher during second visit. All amount should be paid when you place the order even though the furniture won't be ready / delivered after a few weeks. Do not trust them easily (including price, availability, delivery, installation or any promise they make). They are working extremely slowly, taking weeks to solve any problem. They are dishonest all the time. The customer service is a disaster which made me almost cancel the order even though I like the furniture. Can not understand with such good quality furniture, why are they making this (easy) business such an awful experience.

Great experience from (Home max furniture) todelivering !! Quality all the way!! really, Spoiled for choice in both in designand fabric. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable , I amdelighted with my sofa and dining set, Delivered right onschedule, The delivery service allowed me to choose aperfect time slot. The guys managed twoflights of stairs and a tight corner with easeAND they unpacked and removed all thepacking materials. Well done all around!!Home max furniture gets 5 STARS. Don't buy the staff's friendliness and salesmanship. When asking for an update for my uplift and refund request for faulty goods, the store manager William repeatedly told me over the phone, that his job is only to sell and not to deal with complaints arrange returns or issue refunds. Almost two months later, Home Max has not replied to our formal complaint asking for a refund, nor to our invite to engage in alternative dispute resolution.

We first bought some furniture fromHome max furniture in 2018 and loved it all so muchthat when we bought our new home wewent into Edinburgh and spoke to William ,about what we could do. We emailedour floor plans and William put some ideastogether, we wanted to keep our sofa andWilliam came up with replacing the restingend with a chaise that mirrored the one wealready had. I was a little nervous as oursofa is red however you would never knowthey were bought at separate times. Wealso bought some more furniture including adining table with 6 chairs that are differentcolours and fabrics and the effect is simplystunning we love everything and a hugethank you to William for the fabinstallation process. Thequality in everything we have purchased issecond to none absolutely over the moon sothank you Home max furniture for helping us turn ourhouse into a home .

Do not use, pay more and go elsewhere, still waiting on an item since March, it's become very clear we are consistently being lied to about the status of our furniture, we just want a refund and have made formal complaints to trading standards.We've been told the sofa has been shipped, this was a lie, we have also been promised a refund, which is just another stalling tactic.Currently in a position where they have taken £500 of our money, we have no sofa, no refund and no idea if we will ever receive it.
