11 plus Tutor Exeter (11+)

George was a brilliant tutor for our daughter. He was encouraging, understanding, motivating and sensitive to assess how she was doing on a particular evening and adjust accordingly to her needs. He struck just the right balance of stretching her without breaking her in the process!I highly recommend his services. We will certainly be going back to him in a couple years' time when it comes time for our second daughter to prepare for the exam.

We found George rather late in the process but I'm so glad we did as his tuition really brought everything together for the 11+. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

We initially employed George to home-tutor our 10 year old son for the 11+, and then, due to covid, George moved the tutoring on-line. He is an absolutely brilliant teacher and relates wonderfully to children. Our son was not thrilled to be doing the tutoring, but George made it fun, engaging and interesting. I was amazed at how good George made the on-line tutoring (I was usually sitting beside our son doing my own work). George went on to devise and run a weekly fun / educational on-line quiz for our son and his friends, which they all loved and looked forward to each week. Mr George Hadwen was recommended to us by a friend as a tutor for 11 plus exams in and around Exeter, and I am ever so grateful for that.We recently moved to Devon, and decided about 3 months in advance of the test for my son to take the exams.George was always encouraging my son who was a newcomer to the coaching (plus it was all new due to online tutoring of the pandemic times). He always took time to answer my queries at the end of lessons as well, arising from home work and practice papers he set for my son. The confidence building and gentle persuasion went a long way in my son passing the exams. The online lessons were once a week, as George tried to fit us in his already packed up schedule, but he was always available in between with online queries too. Highly recommended.

George Hadwen brilliantly tutored our daughter for the 11+ exam. Due to COVID, the entire course of tutoring was online using bitpaper (an interactive whiteboard both tutor and pupil use whilst on a video chat). He was awesome and tailored it entire to her needs. George was challenging, encouraging, supportive and genuine. Will definitely use George again for our younger daughter when her time comes. Totally recommend.
