I went to see if they had a dress I wanted, in stock for my son's wedding. The staff were so lovely, and although it was out of stock, Helen (?)the manager found out it was in stock in another store. She kindly got the Winchester store to send it to me. The staff at Winchester store were so helpful too. Thank you all so much.

Brilliant shopping experience! The shop is lovely and has got a relaxing atmosphere. Rena, who assisted me, is fantastic! She is extremely helpful, very professional and friendly at the same time. I would highly recommend this shop!

Friendly helpful advice for my wife's dress shopping. Good old fashioned( in a good way) service with nothing too much trouble. No pressure selling and although they didn't have the right size in the colour ...it meant she went away and completed her purchase with there online store

It was such a pleasure shopping at Hobbs with excellent service from Rena - she was so attentive to my needs and was eager to source items (that weren't available in the St Albans shop) online or from other store. Rena really gets what it means to be 'customer-oriented'!

Friendly and helpful staff. Seasonal ranges. Good range of clothing for the formal event and day to day wear.

Quick update to previous review: I returned to the St Albans store last week to collect some ordered-in items… Ellen and Kaitlin both did a truly amazing job of sorting out an issue, which was in no way their fault, my fault or the branch’s fault; I wanted to add to my earlier post because clearly the St Albans team work very hard together to offer the best possible service, which goes beyond the ‘norm’. Based on my recent experience, credit is well deserved.Exceptional customer service… Sarah and her manager Helen simply could not have been more professional, helpful, knowledgable and personable; I needed advice about a dress, shoes, hat and bag - they both spent time with me (although they and their colleague continued of course to serve other customers) and I was able to make up my mind to the point where I feel completely happy with the choices. Helen made several telephone calls to other stores and miraculously managed to source the very bag I wanted, in the colour I wanted, which will be sent from another Hobbs store (a store I couldn’t have travelled to) and, whilst she did this, Sarah steamed my dress as it had arrived badly creased from a concession store. I cannot recommend Hobbs in St Albans highly enough and I will definitely be shopping there again (they carry a comprehensive range but it’s the exceptional customer service that makes them stand out for me). So thank you Helen and thank you Sarah.

This was a most pleasurable shopping experience. Rena who assisted us, was absolutely wonderful. She engaged with us and acted as a 'personal shopper' to make sure we got everything we needed whilst retaining her friendly disposition with other customers. Brilliant experience and would thoroughly recommend this shop.

Delighted with the wedding outfit I purchased here in Hobbs in St Albans.The sales assistant, Devi, was extremely helpful and pleasant.This is a lovely, relaxing shop and I look forward to dropping again.

I wish to thank the fantastic ladies that looked after me buying my outfit for my sons wedding when we visited the store on 3rd April 2022. I rang ahead to check availability and the excellent customer service started straight away on the phone. On arrival I was made to feel so special, they gave me so much of their time and I came away with a beautiful dress and jacket. The kindness shown to me was outstanding. I highly recommend a visit to anybody wanting that personal touch for that special occasion. (Please note there is no connection between my surname and the company. Pure coincidence.)
