If I could I would give them 0 stars, they have been totally unhelpful throughout the whole process they have rejected my application 5 times stating that it is there fault without giving another explanation. Rejected 2 types of identity my passport and my birth certificate stating that they were confused that I was born in England but had an Irish passport. I sent a cover letter to explain this to them but weren’t able to understand and rejected it. They made me completed a 50 page letter to the to make it easier for them and they rejected it without telling me and the next time they rejected it because they couldn’t understand my parents being split up but not divorced. I phoned twice with them hanging up on me the first time for no reason just in the middle of the sentence they hung up the second time the lady tried to help but didn't know how to, I still haven’t had it been accepted and I start uni in 2 weeks and I won’t be able to pay.

Applied late March to early April and first received my payment now (September).Throughout this period of time it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with them. Endless phone calls with each person giving me a different answer/solution" and out of the 30+ calls only about 2 were actually helpful. I was told that I needed to provide evidence and after providing them with it I asked them if they required anything else and after receiving no as an answer

One of the worst experiences ever.I called them 5 times and each time was given a different response.They tend to recruit people who barley speak English and even if I explain my situation to them over ten times, the staff don’t understand anything.Why on earth they employ people with little knowledge of speaking English when over thousands of people relay on student finance services? I understand people with different backgrounds should be recruited but why when someone doesn’t understand English should be put in a job that requires maximum level communication?

today I made a payment. I’m specifically only writing this review for gentlemen: Dennis [from collectors department] Harry and Ama(?) from repayments department in student finance.[Apologies for incorrect name spelling, I am unsure how to spell it. Anyone is free to correct me so i can fix their name if needed as the positive credit is deserved]I just want to say how attentive, kind, patient. Clear and efficient they were in helping me in customer service. They talk slowly clearly and asking for clarification a lot and made me feel reassured and happy and got my payments all sorted. Thank you guys.Last time I spoke to a Lady in september , she was very insensitive impatient and could not clearly explain to me to understand the situation of the debt I had to owe despite saying I am confused. She even made a joke thinking it was funny when I was upset and crying at having to be shocked I was in debt. I don’t know her name. So 2 stars deducted because of her.

Have people working there ever tried warehouse or food factory job first? That's probably much better workplace for them, not managing and responding to students in regard of loans and finances. THIS IS SERIOUS!The person who answered my call had to put me on hold and seek for answers else where FOUR TIMES! I've spent an hour on the line and ended up with Supervisor call back. I wonder how that will work ???

Applying as an Irish person who has been living for England for almost ten years has been appalling. After months of long phone calls, being kept on hold for consistently long amounts of time and being told different things in each phone call I have become tired and hopeless. I had no option but to send my passport which I didn't receive back for over a month, after being told it would take a week, whilst having sick family abroad which was one of the many unnecessary stresses of this process. This has been a constant worry for months now and I'm still struggling to see an end. How this is allowed to happen?

Didn’t know why my loan hadn’t come through in 4 months so I phoned them up and they said it was because of a system error on their side and there’s nothing they can do. My application is still be processed but now I face being removed from my module because of Student Finance’s incompetence. They can’t even give me a timescale for when I might receive my loan. This has been utterly exhausting and heartbreaking and I don’t know what to do next.

>Received letter saying information was missing from my application.>Call them and double check TWICE if this is the only information they are missing.>They confirm that there is no other missing information.>They won't accept the missing information online or over the phone so I end up having to send them that section again by post.>One week passes.>We are missing further information from your application.">Will only accept the missing information via post
