I went there with a friend some days in July to drink some pints and have dinner, and I loved the pub! Garlic bread, pizza, fish and chips and hamburguers were delicious in the garden! Service was usually very fast!

Twice I've visited this place for food and twice I've ordered on the app and waited longer for my drinks than my food. Second occasion I ordered ham egg and chips and the eggs were overcooked so I sent my food back and yet the eggs came out again overcooked I mean who calls themselves a chef and can't cook fried eggs!! Sent the same chips back out 10 miniutes later they were stone cold. Terrible service Terrible food won't be re visiting this wetherspoons again even tho every other wetherspoons never fails this one just jaunt got it!

I think they are cutting down on their meal sizes. I think I received half a portion of chips with my meal. The onion rings came about 15 minutes before the food. So they was cold and greasy. Baked potato with salad, I think they might have forgot some of the salad. But what we had was nice.It does get busy but you can usually get a seat. Same sort of staff, some helpful, some not.Usual weatherspoons menu. Toilets are up a lot of stairs. But they do have a toilet downstairs, you might need to get the radar key at the bar to open it.

Very typical weatherspoons but the service is fast and the food is pretty good. Not spotless but reasonably clean. The 3 burger meals we ordered were cooked perfectly however they were a bit stingy with my son's chips. He ordered an adult meal but got about 12 chips in total, the plate was literally half empty.Atmosphere is also pretty stale so that with the shady portion of chips means 4 stars unfortunately.

I always call in here when shopping in Burton, but after the experience on Thursday that's about to change. I ordered Lemon and Herb chicken, it was abysmal. The plate arrived swimming in grease with a really thick dark sauce all over the plate and chips (which look like they had been refried). I took all the skin off the chicken the herbs were so thick on it, the lemon in the sauce was so overpowering I couldn't taste what little I ate. The chicken itself was very dry. It really was one of the worse meals I've ever had. As I said I ate very little, but the taste of the sauce remained with me all day and I was sick when I got home. I have made a complaint to weatherspoons as well.Could be a one off, but I'm not willing to spend good money to see.Think I'll avoid the place now.

Went with family on a Friday and wasn't disappointed! Staff were friendly and service was great, food was decently priced and wait time was only about 15 minutes even though it was busy! Definitely will be returning

My second visit to this one, and although the staff were working hard, the service wasn't the best.Nachos and the chicken strips were fine. The loaded chips were sent back due to the tiny portion and missing sour cream. Thankfully, this was put right after a 15-minute delay and on the third attempt. Wasn't very impressed with the meagre portion of spaghetti bolognese either.Cannot fault the staff, however; the team were rushing around to try and compensate for the skeleton crewSome wonderful pictures on the wall of the local history and also a very impressive landscaped beer garden.Parking is a 5 minute walk and costs £1.40 for 2 hours.

Good value food with a wide range of choice. Some good deals on food which includes either an alcoholic or soft drink. Friendly, helpful staff. Good service. From now until the end of December they have a festive menu. I can recommend the Turkey with all the trimmings, which I had today.
