The Hexagon
The Hexagon is situated in a central location in Reading, making it easily accessible by public transportation and within walking distance from various shops and restaurants. The venue's layout was well-designed, providing ample seating without feeling overcrowded. The seating arrangement allowed for a good view of the stage from most areas, ensuring an excellent experience for all attendees. The Hexagon's acoustics were impressive, enhancing the overall sound quality of the event. We have been here to experience the comedy show, which was splendid. Loved it.Overall, The Hexagon in Reading offers a pleasant and enjoyable experience for various events. Its convenient location, great acoustics, and diverse event lineup make it a popular choice among locals and visitors alike. With some minor improvements in parking options and refreshment choices, The Hexagon could enhance its overall appeal. I would recommend The Hexagon as a top choice for entertainment and cultural experiences in Reading.Parking: the nearest parking is broad street mall car park (reasonable price)Toilets: Yes, available in the premise

The Hexagon
A wonderfully adaptable venue for concerts plays etc. Big enough, but not too big, great views of stage from most seats. Always a pleasure to go to shoes and gigs at the Hexagon. Latest was Haircut 100 who were brilliant, a great atmosphere...

The Hexagon
The Hexagon was lovely, we saw a stand up act which was great - we sat on the balcony B12/13 which were excellent seats they say visibility could be an issue in these seat but they were perfect with no problems only the far right of the stage was slightly obscured. As always with all theatres during the interval it was busy with queues but the downstairs bar you could walk up and I was served almost immediately (there were queues either side but the bar is separate) also the gents loo there had no queue unlike upstairs. All in all it was great and I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

Went to see a musical here. Absolutely loved it! All the seats were well positioned to see the stage. Queues for the toilets were long but there were a lot of toilets so the queues also moved quickly. Very central location for anyone arriving by public transport.

We went for the first time to see a comedy show, not very impressed with the building, the whole area around does not feel very welcoming. We parked at the civic b car park and walked across. It is less then a minute away, but it did not feel safe at all. It is very run down and feels neglected. The show started nearly an hour late, technical issues, so finished an hour late. This meant paying extra on our parking. You have to pay for overnight parking. The theatre is not too bad inside, smaller then I thought. No issues with seating. It was comfortable enough to sit for 3-4 hours. They have quite a lot of security which is good. It is within walking distance of Reading Town centre, so easy to find. Overall it was a mediocre venue.

One of the best venues I've gone to for a live band, shame that not many bands perform here. Drinks are cheap, good selection of hot drinks too. Great intimate standing area.

The Hexagon
The Hexagon Theatre in Reading is a quirky venue for sure. I don’t know who the architect was but their remit was clearly to ‘build a utilitarian concrete bunker’ and deliver they did. I’ve been here a few times now and have had a good experience each time. Clearly it depends on the acts you choose to see but as an alternate night out you can’t really go wrong. Personally I like theatre but there are live music events and a choice of indie alternatives. It’s nice to go out in town and do something different rather than just go and drink copious amounts of alcohol and be ripped off accordingly for the ‘privilege’. Be advised though drinks and snacks are on the expensive side but at least you won’t be going for round after round at the bar. The venue itself is in an out of the way location on the fringe of town but there is plenty of parking options nearby and it’s a short walk from Reading station. Recommended? - of course. It’s theatre. It’s cool.

This was my 2nd visit to the Hexagon. The 1st time, I was standing on the floor. This time, I was sitting in the gallery. Both times I had a great time.As I attend lot of live music gigs, an important part of a venue is accessiblity and this gets 10 out of 10. The multi storey car park is next door. There was a storm on the night of the visit but, coming out, I hardly got wet getting to the car. The cost to park was £4.10 for just under 4 hours.A really good medium sized venue where everyone gets a decent view.

The Hexagon
Excellent venue with good facilities and a good view wherever you sit. I've watched gigs and plays here and the sound has always been really good. I've been here many times over the years and it's a great venue to visit. The staff are all really helpful which adds to the niceness of The Hexagon. Keep your eyes open for events here as if you've not visited, you should! Parking is a plentiful in the local car parks and is an easy venue to get too.

Excellent Theatre, kind staff, very helpful. Door man directed our car into the parking space provided. Building is very clean and tidy, in & outq Reading Theatre has stairs and a lift for disabled & old people a like. They have a bar for drinks, tea's and coffee and various other options of hot drinks. Also there's toilets, plus disabled people toilets. There's a railway station, taxis and a bus service near by, that runs all routes of Reading. All ìn All a very ĺittle busy Theatre.
