The paths are best of it has been dry for a while, but wellies are generally essential. Someone has put up some maps at the gates and hut but not marked on the you r are here cross so it's hard to use

Lovely woods to amble around with bluebells, oxlips and wood anemones in the spring. Can be boggy in places and currently shut (20/04/21) due to flooding. Still well worth a walk around the perimeter on the bridleway/footpaths.

Very cool. There is a tall tower you can climb up. Warning; if you get too close to the edge it may smell of rotting fish due to the world's biggest maggot farm.

Hayley Wood Nature Reserve
An extremely muddy winter walk in this magical place! We were the only visitors and the sense of history of this ancient woodland was enveloping us.......absolutely lovely. Remember to wear waterproof boots and possibly take walking sticks to prevent sliding!
