A woman in the store helped me pick out shoes for my daughter, she had said the size down would be better for her as she had small feet, not even 6 weeks later I'm back again needing to buy more shoes for my 1 year old. It's a frustrating situation because if her shoes were in her size to begin with I wouldn't have an issue with them not fitting so soon as I understand kids feet grow fast especially at her age, but the fact she's recommended the size down and now they don't fit, there was nothing that could be done as I spoke to a man when I went in for the 2nd pair and he was helpful but obviously they are now worn so I couldn't even return them or exchange them for the correct size. The man even said himself that it was strange she would recommend that as that's not something they normally do, I'm now almost £50 out of pocket because of this, in my opinion, bad recommendation.

The man who measured my daughters feet was amazing with her. Only 4 stars as they didn't have a wide variety of hard sole shoes for kids that were walking other than boots and a couple of other hard sole shoes.

Absolutely dreadful service. Dragged the kids here on a weekend to get the wee one’s feet measured; when we managed to flag down a member of staff, she said to come back in 15m. No problem - we asked if we should take a ticket or leave a name… no, apparently we either ‘should have booked online’, should have realised they’d only have two staff on duty, should have known this was now a ‘clearance / sale’ shop or should come back in 15-20m and they would ‘hopefully’ fit us in. I’m not dragging a 3yo round the shops for 20m based on ‘hopefully’ getting her feet measured.My mum used to bring me here as a kid to have my feet measured. They had this incredble pair of technologies to use at the time; one was a paper ticket machine that issued numbered queuing tickets to deal with busy days, and the other one was staff actually capable of critical thought. I guess our local Clarks is no longer the brand it once was where you could walk in and expect actual customer service rather than harried bleating.

Good quality leather shoes and didn't quibble on the one occasion I had a problem, just replaced them. Plus they have very good sales on from time to time.

Sales adviser was very good with my grandson. He asked him all questions. So nice to see an adult treating a child like a real person.

Rebecca measured my son's feet and brought up a fair amount of boxes before we found the perfect fit and style for him. She was helpful, friendly and patient. Great experience.

Mum is 78 and has dementia. We popped in here today to get her 2 pairs because you trust Clarks to deliver comfortable, sensible and long-lasting shoes. The staff were brilliant, especially Fiona (I really hope I’ve got the name right), who dealt with us and who also has personal experience with dementia. We ended up with a pair of black “Funny Dream”, which she liked so much that she wore them out of the shop, and slightly surprisingly a pair of “Champagne Nalle Lace” which she now has on and have become her new favourite shiny thing- “too good for the garden” apparently. Fiona was wearing a pair herself - always trust the experts. Clarks’ staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and understanding and I would thoroughly recommend the shop experience. Here’s hoping the shoes deliver as well as the staff did going forwards.

Ok until I liked a pair of shoes not in my size. They had to be paid for before they would get my size ordered to the shop. Fair enough. However, they were for a mother of the bride outfit" and when said bride saw them she didn't think they were appropriate. On asking the shop to cancel my order 1 Hour!! later

I took my eight year old to this store today. Both staff were super friendly. It was really busy and I still felt we got a personal service from I think Fiona. Her colleague was also friendly. Daughter is thrilled with her boots. Excellent value.

Service was horrible. The woman clearly couldn't be arsed bringing out a different shoe size for me to try, went through the back, brought some boxes with another colleague then buggered off without saying anything. The other woman just handed me the shoe to try saying 'here', not even a 'hi' or 'here you are', just 'here'. She didn't listen to me either, i told her the 'wide fit' was too loose and she responded with 'you can get them in extra wide'. I'll never shop in that store again.
