My first Christmas meal of 2023 was a real hit. Nice food, well cooked and presented by welcoming staff. Highly recommended for a relaxing meal with friends by the fireside (other seats are available).

Have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed the food However our meal out this week really awful ..My hubby had sizzling steak but was mostly gristle. I cut the best bits out for him .When the waitress came and we asked for the bill I showed her the steak and asked her to pass it on to chef as not acceptable ... The bill came nothing amended ..we didnt tip but we had youngsters with us and I didnt want to make a scene in front of them so we paid and just left .Doubtful we will be back

Such a friendly, welcoming place. The menu works for me, there are plenty of options I would like, and the food is always really nice. The staff are warm and helpful and it's just very comfortable and inviting! Also, some of the dishes are offered in smaller portions.

The worst experience of a pub" I've ever hadSeeing all the petty and pointless rules on a board in the garden is just depressing. Clearly the owner is trying to make the pub fancier than it is

I have been visiting this lovely pub for years. Our last visit a table of 8 and we all had roast dinners which were absolutely gorgeous. The service we receive is alway warm and welcoming! I highly recommed!

We were lucky enough to win a three course meal for four at the dog show recently. We redeemed our voucher this evening & we’re given a warm, friendly welcome. The food was delicious & the staff are all lovely. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

Have only ever visited during the day so not sure about atmosphere, never very busy during lunchtimes.Large car park and roadside parking nearby should that fill up.Food is okay, nothing to blow your socks off but its alright albeit a bit pricey for what it is.Staff all friendly enough from what I've experienced.
