The atmosphere is great. Ryan is absolutely fantastic master!! It’s a shame I won’t come here again as really would want to have Ryan as my regular hairdresser. However, I was put down by the fact they’ve charged me £290 instead of £210 as stated in the booking. I was never informed what this extra charge is for, and never got a receipt. 5 star for the quality, and 2 star for the management. I think they should be careful with tax officer…

This was my second time at the salon for hair and make up. I brought my friend for a trial for my son's wedding too. We both received a lovely welcome and we're arrived.Megan was fabulous with our makeup. She is extremely sensitive and professional and quickly understood what we both wanted.She was so helpful advising with colours and gave great suggestions for eyeshadow for us both.Megan really exceeded our expectations and we're so happy with the results.Abbie styled my hair beautifully and I have chosen this updo for my son's wedding. It will look great with my hat.We're both from Edinburgh and didn't know where to start looking for wedding hair and makeup. We're so glad we chose Ellen Conlin's, what a lovely experience.Many thanks to Megan, Abbie, Ellen and colleagues for making us feel and look so special.Loved the welcome touch on the mirror too.Thank you so much. We're really looking forward to our next visit.

I went to Ellen Conlin for my hair and makeup for my wedding, as they were the salon closest to the hotel we were staying in. It was something of a leap of faith, having not visited previously. The service was superb throughout from both Ryan and Megan, and I was delighted with both my hair and makeup. Everyone in the salon is incredibly friendly and you are always assured of a warm welcome. And lots of tea...:) Notwithstanding it being an hour each way, I now travel regularly to the salon for treatments. Unreservedly recommended.

I have been a customer of ECH for many years, on and off. At every visit, you are welcomed like an old friend, and I always find that Ken and Ellen make the effort to engage with you, which personalises your visit, and is appreciated.Today, I had rushed out without my phone, which houses my means of payment! It was made to be of no consequence, as I was ushered onwards to my appointment, relaxed in the knowledge that my card details were stored, and I didn't have to return home to collect it, or return to pay!! The offer of calling home was offered too, but not required, so all was good!I had a consultation with my Stylist, who took the time to discuss my hair type, how I chose to wear it to fit in with my work/lifestyle, and what style and colours I preferred. I went for a bit of a 'chop', but was advised to leave it a little longer than my 'about here' demo! I'm thankful for that! I had the option of refreshments during my appointment, and enjoyed them whilst observing the transformations of my fellow clients. There was also the option for a beauty treatment, or manicure whilst I was there, so I could have come out as a completely different person!!I left, a very happy customer, and obviously will be back! Thank you ECH - you are fantastic, and I highly recommend you pay them a visit!

The service at ECH is always fantastic. The team make you feel special as soon as you walk in the door. Your name is written on the mirror in front of your chair, very nice touch. Abby normally does my hair and does an amazing job every time. She makes me feel completely at ease and I trust her advice on colour and style. Aided by the rest of the team, who are always courteous and friendly. I also met Jess today who did a wonderful job on my brows. Looking forward to trying out the facial package soon. Thanks to Ellen and Ken for creating such a fab salon.

Great haircut from Ryan, he listened to everything I said, walked out very happy with my new doo! The team were also very welcoming and I had a lovely head massage during my hair wash. Thanks team :-)

This was my first visit and I had the most incredible time. The staff were so friendly as soon as I walked through the door and they had “welcome Kirsty” written on the mirror. Ryan cut and styled my hair and he was amazing. I’m very nervous when going to a hairdressers but he made me feel so comfortable and took the time to listen to what I wanted. Checked the length of my cut strand by strand to make sure it was perfect. Such a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

Hi,Overall a decent cut & experience.A warm welcome from the staff, though didnt have my cut with who Id booked my appointment with.Head massage was great, cut was good though felt a little rushed despite it being quiet.Generous tip when paying which wasnt acknowledged, which left me questioning if £45 overall was worth it ??Keith..
