AML Plumbing and Heating

AML Plumbing did a fantastic job - they refitted a brand new bathroom for us, removing all the old units, tiles, flooring, even the plasterboard behind the tiles that needed replacing, and installed the new suite to an excellent finish. We went from a very basic cheap bathroom suite to brand new thermostatic shower, underfloor heating, towel rails and tiling throughout.We previously had rotten floorboards and several layers of old tiles, wonky floors, bumpy walls - all of which were replaced and fixed without a second thought- he even reworked the pipes on the inside and outside of the house to make everything cleaner and flow more efficiently. Couldn't have asked for a better job. Highly recommended!!

Andy was great, turned up and did a really professional job. We had a problem with our stop tap needing replacing and a washing machine that had been delivered but they hadn't been able to plumb in because we couldn't get the water off. Andy sorted it all and we'd highly recommend him. Will be using him again.

Excellent service provided. Loving our under floor heating. Very clean, tidy work and more than happy to explain all aspects of work required and once carried out. Highly recommend them.

Completed gas work when not gas safe registered - gas safe were involved when we realised and found a number of faults with the work. AML plumbing and heating were hired to move a boiler and fit 2 radiators. AML plumbing and heating took 2 whole weeks to completed this job that was quoted to take 3 days causing major disruption. We kept being asked for money throughout the job and the price was put up half way through the work. Post completion we were hassled continuously for further money with no evidence of extra costs. When receipts for parts were requested none were given. A terrible experience that completely overshadowed a house move and a new baby. Would not use or recommend. I have read the response to this and it does not remove the fact that all of the above stated is true - there was no gas safe registration in place at the time and we were not informed of this and were even given someone else registration number without being given a reason why until we questioned this. The court ruled in favor of both sides and this only happened because we agreed we wanted the case ended there and then as we had been through so much stress due to AML plumbing and heating- we had to pay for some pipe but the court ruled that no money should be paid for extra time as a service time had been agreed of 3 days and took 2 weeks which is resulted in us having to pay extra rent and bills for two properties. Gas safe noted in their report i quoteThe work recently undertaken in your property has not been carried out by a gas safe registered business." and after a discussion with AML plumping and heating "i advised AML plumbing and heating that the work he had described would be in my opinion classified as gas work." There were 4 defects to the work that the gas safe inspector gave notice to in the report. This review is not malicious it is based only on fact. The boiler was not asked to be put in a different place than originally planned. AML plumbing had been advised of all the work we wanted completing prior to starting - the only thing extra we asked for was a washing machine point and we paid the extra for this when we made the full quoted payment. We did some research when we became concerned about the rising costs and found that AML plumbing and heating had over quoted for many of the parts hence asking for receipts which were not provided. We paid the quoted amount for the work in full immediately on completion despite the difficulties we experienced with AML plumbing and heating. We did not pay the extra requested for the reasons given above. AML plumbing have had our review removed from other websites."

We contacted Andrew at AML Plumbing and Heating after checking the Gas Safe web site for local gas engineers as we required a new heating system. He gave us advice on several options of what type of boiler that would suit are needs as we are extending the house. In the end we opted for a system boiler with an unvented hot water tank which is just fantastic for our needs. Also Andrew was able to advise us on the benefits of underfloor heating and the method of how we could integrate it into our new extension which we had been advised was not possible by two other local plumbers. We can not believe that we now have a new fully zoned heating system and underfloor heating which is more than what we expected before we undertook this project. The workmanship was outstanding and as a result of this Andrew will be fitting our new bathroom. We would highly recommend Andrew of AML Plumbing and Heating. Top tradesmen. M.Lee

Andy replaced our old central heating system across the whole house and put in underfloor heating in a new extension. Andy did a good job at a competitive price and we have been very happy with the service he provided.

Andrew did a great job in fitting a new shower, shower screen in my property. He reworked the pipework in order to avoid previous leaking issues. Job done on time and to an acceptable price.
