Absolutely love Kochchi!! So many great options for vegans without compromising on flavour. The food is everything you could want so wholesome and filling with the best taste. They are always happy to make accommodations for customers and are a lovely team.

My friends and I recently visited KOCHCHI in Edinburgh, excited to introduce them to the flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine for the first time. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of my expectations, leaving us rather disappointed. One of the main concerns we had was the portion sizes of the dishes compared to the price we paid. Three of us ordered 2 Chicken Kothu £10+ each, 1 Pork Kothu £12+ each and 2 Godhamba Rottie potion £6+ each. We found the portions to be quite small, which left us feeling hungry even after our meal.Disappointed by the lack of authenticity in the Sri Lankan dishes. The food failed to capture the true essence and flavors. The godhamba rottie, a popular Sri Lankan street food, was more like a heated frozen Paratha, lacking the distinctive taste and texture of a godhamba rottie. The curry sauce accompanying the Kothu dishes also lacked the authentic Sri Lankan flavors, it is more like a curry sauce served at a chippy. While the experience at Bonnie & Wild, James Quarter was pleasant in terms of ambiance. Had high hopes for an authentic Sri Lankan meal but were very disappointed in terms of taste, portion sizes, and true representation of the cuisine.I believe it is important to maintain the integrity of traditional flavors to provide a truly satisfying experience for customers.

The portion I had wasn’t same as I ordered. The pork koththu dish was not enough salt & wasn’t spicy as I requested as hot. The Gravy was not delicious & the pork curry also was without salt. I’m not recommend for any one. Further chefs are not fare enough of food safety. it’s not a place to eat.please don’t try this.

It's been 3 months since my trip to Scotland but I can't stop thinking about how good the black pork kothu was. 10/10 would come back again if I wasn't 3000 miles away

The absolute stand out at Bonnie & Wild, and more than deserving of its Street Food Awards accolades. To the extent you'd have to question how long it will be before the team break free of their upmarket food court surroundings and set up a permanent Edinburgh branch elsewhere in the city. The Kotthu (shredded roti and vegetables drenched in curry sauce and accompanied by a meat of your choice) is the kind of dish you leave resolving to make at home but never attempted because you'd never do it half as well. Just delicious. And the hoppers are no second fiddle, proving equally full of flavour and expertly prepared.Get down here before the rest of the world catches on and KOCHICHI spreads its wings.

Kochchi delights with authentic Sri Lankan flavors. The Hopper and Kottu are must-tries, capturing the essence of the island's cuisine.

The restaurant is inside the Bonnie & Clyde" food court. There is no much comments about the atmosphere of the "Kochchi" since the dining area is common to all the restaurants. Hoppers are really good. It's 9/10. But the kottu dish was way too small. For comparison attached a picture with my palm next to the dish. Portion size is pretty small. And also the curry comes with it doesn't had even a tiny bit of srilankan taste. Kottu alone tastes fine. But the curry has no flavor in it. And also it's bit expensive than usual but it could be because of the location. Anyhow"
