Ibworth woodlands burial ground

Ground has been painted by red! Yes, they are poppies! Perfect!

In February 2021 my husband of 53 years was laid to rest at Ibworth woodland burial ground. A most beautiful and natural setting. We were not religious, both of us believing in simple humanity. The birds were singing, little lambs gambolled and cows happily munched on the green grass in the surrounding fields. No doubt the deer watched from their camouflaged hiding places.This year a sapling willow was planted on the grave. If it thrives (and I'm sure it will!) it will provide shelter and food for numerous birds and bugs. So the cycle of life goes on in the best of ways. I am very grateful to have found this place and grateful also to all the people who made it possible. Thank you so much. x
