The Bird Cafe
I visited the first time during the storm named Bebet and the valley was flooded. Today I visited and it was quite busy. I would have given the cafe five stars if it hadn't have been difficult to park. Apparently the car park is shared by several businesses. I'm surprised to learn that this business was started in 2021 because it feels as though its been here much longer. The atmosphere is very cheerful and there is a variety of visiting birds just outside the window as they come to feed on the many bird feeders hanging close by.The staff are exceptional and the service is first class. I cannot find any fault with this cafe and its the sort of place that makes you want to linger.

Really friendly cafe with table service and payment at counter. Also an extensive selection of food and other gifts. Homebaked delights on the cafe menu. Cute birds and squirrels hop around the feeders outside the window above the river. Good sized car park and still open in the winter.

The Bird Cafe
What a lovely relaxing place to visit. I'm sure it was named a herb centre many years ago, so it's nice to see it called The Bird Cafe as it is the birds that have possibly made it a cult cafe to visit. The food and cakes are great as well, however it is the feathered friends that steal the show. We relaxed and ate for a hour and could have happily stayed longer watching them. There is also a great farm shop on site for gifts, chocolate and plants. Nice morning out.

The Bird Cafe
Nice spot with interesting products in the shop. The coronation quiche and the sausage roll were good. The carrot cake was not great, big piece but without much taste. I’d rather get a smaller piece with more spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla etc), nuts and carrots. The icing was mainly sugar (I prefer cream cheese/mascarpone). Very friendly staff

We had passed the cafe a few times but never had the time to stop.Today we made time I rang ahead and asked if we could reserve a table outside ( as I’d been told at lunchtime it would be very busy). We were greeted by very friendly staff, showed us to our table. The choice of food was very good.We opted for soup I know soup on a hot day. Then afterwards cake and coffee .The food was delicious. We will definitely be planning a return visit.

Very attentive staff despite the cafe being extremely busy when we first arrived. Lots of gluten free options on the main menu and in the cake cabinet. We were lucky to get a table right next to the window so had a perfect view of all the bird feeders and saw a couple of squirrels too. There is also a little shop selling local products and small gifts as well as a little garden centre bit outside with plants/herbs and compost.Easy to park, large free carpark just off the main road.

We decided to go to Stanage Edge, Peak District to spend our day without kids. We had an amazing time. On the way back around we were very hungry. So, we decided to stop by at this cafe for some sandwiches. This place is very nice & compact. They have a shop and through the shop they have seating area. They have outside seating area too. We didn't sit their but got few things packed to go. We got Ham+Tomato+Pesto Panini, Scones, Lemon Cake and some soft drinks. Trust me everything tastes great and fresh. I would definitely recommend this place.

Just happened to stop in here for a quick coffee and had the best scone ever. The oat milk latter was also lovely. Really sweet little cafe and the food the other customers had looked really good too. Would highly recommend.

We stopped here for breakfast on the way to a hike. Its so bright and colourful inside as you pass through the shop area to get to the seating for the cafe. We were greeted immediately, the staff are really friendly and welcoming and the food was great and reasonably priced . Its well named as outside there were many bird feeders some even attached to the windows giving you the perfect view of the birds close up. I would definitely recommend and I will make sure to visit again when I'm back this way.
