Top notch service. The Marquee Company UK provided a marquee with tables, chairs, lights and various other bits and pieces for our wedding in July this year. Everything looked amazing for the big day. Jon was a pleasure to deal with and always available to speak to on the phone. The guys who put up and took the marquee down were all sound as well. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Jon was very helpful from the moment we requested a quote. We had to change a few things at the last minute and it wasn’t an issue. Great service, great bunch of lads that erected our marquee. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended

I would not use The Marquee Company UK again. This supplier caused me the most stress of the whole wedding planning process.Very confusing invoicing. Seems nice at face value but when things went wrong Jon was not interested at addressing things. Bad practise of not checking equipment, state of items that were given to us chipped and the fridge / toilets were not maintained correctly which caused us 2 major issues on our wedding day.We got married 10/06/23 at a dry hire, managing 16 suppliers, and this company was the only supplier we had a problem with that pushed me to tears. I started to notice things had gone missing off the invoice that should have been there and I had to spend hours going through all of our emails dating back to 2021 to make sure all the changes I asked for were addressed. There was hundred of pounds of extra cost added to the invoice only a few months before the wedding.Says we are able to amend items up to 1 week before the wedding when final balance was due but just short of a month before I was being pushed to make final arrangements. Jon would call me to discuss but then not honour his word and was pricing nearly 3 times what was agreed. He called me a liar and this conversation was unprofessional.We set up the marquee 2 days before the wedding. We met Jon at the venue at 8am to confirm position and then said we wouldn’t be needed for 5 hours while they erect the marquee.We arranged for family to meet us at 2pm to start set up. We sat there until GONE 8pm unable to do anything because staff took so long to set up the marquee.Jon would leave site and disappear for 4/5 hours at a time. Never was it mentioned that multiple trips would be throughout the day.The carpet was not pinned down enough and had big gapsThe dance floor was not securely fitted correctly - I actually tripped up ON OUR WEDDING DAY because of one of the pieces coming awayDifferent sized tables didn’t have sizes written on themThe UPGRADED chairs we paid for were dirty and Velcro was not holding the cushions onto the chairs - our parents had to sit on chairs without cushionsThe drapes had marks that looked like blood - we had to get up ourselves on a ladder and hide themPleates were missingThe 3 door fridge was poorly maintained, seals were not keeping the fridge cold and the fridge was unusable - we were running out of cold drinksThe cups for hot drinks had so dirtyLight fittings were not hanging straight - we had to sort out ourselvesThe cutlery was so damaged it was embarrassing to have to use - we resulted in using plastic cutlery insteadTable clothes had smudges on themWe have photos of everything.We had to repeatedly direct the workers to items that needed to be redone or that was missed.The workers said they needed to leave but said Jon would be coming back to do final things like hammer in the nails for the dance floor. When Jon arrived, he didn’t have the tools to do anything that was left unfinished. We mentioned each concern I’ve listed above to Jon didn’t care.The day before our wedding, we realised there was only 5 toilets rolls in the loo to cater to 115 people. It was never going to be enough. Jon initially said there was spare in the back storage locker but it was empty. We contacted Jon and again he didn’t seem to care and said ‘oh it might have been used then’. The AFTERNOON BEFORE our wedding, he told us to go to the shops to just buy some toilet roll!After guests being at the venue for less than half an hour, the toilet gets blocked. When called, Jon seemed to be aware of this issue like it’s happened multiple times. The toilets were out of action for the best part of 2 hours.On Monday the marquee was being taken down and we went site to collect (Baskets, 4 big platter plates, jars and table clothes) and they were not there. Jon said one of his team took them with home and still they’re not returned. Jon said he would investigate and refunded us some money but we are still waiting.

From start to finish, the marquee hire company have been absolutely amazing to work withWe went off a recommendation from a friend who had hired them for her wedding and they really were a fantastic company to work withWe had the long marquee with the voile top and it was absolutely stunning – we had so many compliments on the marquee and it was so easy to put the sides on and off for changes of weatherThe set up team were lovely and they even upgraded our chairs for us on the day – which made the look even more sophisticated.The set up team were really knowledgeable about where is best to place the marquee and what would look good hung up etc they had answers to all my questions!Set up was extremely fast! They even arrived early to get set up which put me at ease that I had longer in the day to decorate.Overall, fantastic company, extremely affordable, great and knowledgeable staff, quick and easy set up (no stress whatsoever!) and really great communication
