Lovely space, relaxed atmosphere, great service and staff. Always a vegan choice and alternative non dairy milks. Breakfast and brunch menu interesting with a special board too… food locally sourced and always made fresh. My go to place to meet friends

Amazing location for Brunch. The atmosphere truly matches nordic vibes (as intended), the service was extremely attentive and helpful. And the food was simply delicious. Coffee was just perfect too. Love everything about this little gem. Will definitely be back!

Cold.Style over Substance.Excluding over Inclusive.Pretentious. Rude. The exterior & interior aesthetic is beautifully welcoming & warm - whereas our experience was anything but welcoming & warm. The manner of the staff made us feel unwelcome. The staff's attitude towards my cousin (with a pushchair) was jarring. Rather than politely asking if it was possible to store it somewhere, they bluntly instructed her to leave it outside, despite the café being nearly empty at the time. The way they spoke to her was inappropriate. It felt as though Föda is more concerned with maintaining their picture-perfect aesthetic for social media rather than providing a welcoming environment for their customers. The café's aesthetic is undoubtedly pleasant, with cosy furnishings and inviting décor. However, the staff's pretentious & rude demeanour overshadows any positives. The staff seemed more concerned with projecting an air of exclusivity than creating an inclusive atmosphere for all.You walk in expecting a warm & inviting atmosphere but are met with a cold & icy reception. The place is stunning but the way the staff spoke to us left me stunned. The coffee was nothing special, and the pricing was steep for the quality. There was a bitter aftertaste that matched our experience; we received service with disdain.Föda charges extra for alternatives to cow's milk and their vegan options are few and far between. The portions are small enough to take a pretty photo - but the portions are pretty pointless for the price, if you're hungry.Föda is aesthetically attractive but ugly beneath the surface. It projects an exquisite & exclusive image rather than creating a hospitable environment for everyone. The atmosphere was devoid of any warmth or friendliness.A place for vanity & the vain.(I should have spoken directly to the staff to address my concerns before posting a review, but their cold and unfriendly demeanor made it awkward to approach them. There are two charming cafés with friendly faces on the same street - let alone in the wider area - that are more worthy & deserving of your time & money.)Föda looks pleasant. It feels unpleasant. It looks comfortable. It felt uncomfortable.Don't judge this café on its façade. It is all a façade.

Nice and homely decoration! The place is properly heated too. Food was well- seasoned and tasty. The only suggestion is to increase the sourdough size or make it two pieces, so that the breakfast/ brunch is more filling.

One of my favourite brunch spots or even if I’m just wanting a drink. The menu is so diverse from typical cafes and is so fun and inventive - I love a good variety; the food is fresh and amazing quality. The drinks are delicious (tried them all but the Chaga Chocolate has my heart) and they even offer a few cakes/sweet treats. The atmosphere is calming and the theme is quite Bohemian Chic. The staff are so kind and attentive. An amazing atmosphere which creates an amazing experience. This time I had the Golden Milk Chai and the mushrooms on sourdough 10/10.

Great visit for Brunch served till 3. Had turkish eggs with golden chai and my partner had Italian benedict eggs with a latte. Both meals were amazing, lots of flavours going on and very fresh.

Love this place so much. Decor is calm and relaxing. Food is divine. Had something different each time and can't wait to come back. Dog friendly and staff always bring a bowl for them.

Absolutely phenomenal addition to Monkseaton!A gorgeous interior, modern and calm.Staff were friendly and very helpful, service was super quick, too.The menu was simple, yet every dish had a slight flair to make it special. Quite possibly the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had!I can’t wait to go back!
