Lola Swift Interior Design

Lola came and turned our world right-side up! We needed a community space made homely. She did so much more, giving us warm and inviting rooms that glow with colour and imagination. We couldn't be happier.I also attended her one day design class which gave me the confidence to branch out in my own home.Thank you Lola.

I loved working with Lola on my house. She gave me confidence to embrace colour and really understood what I was trying to achieve. Lola is patient, knowledgeable and efficient, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her.

Lola is a true expert when it comes to colours and interior design. She guides you to bring out your own creativity, personality and imagination, then brings them to life with her expansive knowledge of paints, fabrics and interior finishes. It’s exciting and inspiring working with Lola as she gets you out of old habits to create something that’s really unique and brilliantly tailored to you and your home.

We commissioned Lola to help us redesign our sitting room at home which we were struggling with - and I'm so pleased we did! Lola's understanding of colour, texture, space and shape was outstanding and she really brought new ideas that we hadn't even considered. She spent a lot of time talking to us about what we wanted, how we used the space etc and then came back very quickly with a mood board and a plan with attached links of where we could buy the suggested furniture, that was all within our budget. Her excellent service and knowledge was worth every penny and it's really not expensive - I can't recommend her highly enough and I have a feeling I will be using her again!Sam Clark

I absolutely loved Lola’s colour workshop. I went to it hoping to get some ideas for my daughter’s bedroom. However, I finished the day with so much more than I had expected. I left with a gorgeous mood board for the room as well as a plan to make it happen. I am also bursting with ideas for our whole house and adding more colour and fun into some of our rooms. Lola was really great at guiding us to think about the use of each room and how little colourful additions could breathe more life and vitality into our house. I was also really impressed how Lola made us think about the environmental impact of design and gave us upcycling ideas and clever tips to make conscious design choices.Overall, it gave me the confidence to give our home more personality with colour. I highly recommend it!

I had an inspiring and very enjoyable day on Lola's Colour Workshop. We explored colours, styles and textures and how to combine them all geared to the project I am planning. I left with a lovely mood board and the confidence to be rather bolder in my colour choices.

Lola's colour workshop for interiors was excellent. Informal yet hugely informative; we were given the tools to think for ourselves and develop our own colour palette ideas. Lola's friendly encouragement, extensive expert knowledge and honesty were invaluable. She helped me to sort through my cluttered ideas to strive for a purposeful & meaningful interior-scape. Lola's ideas about having meaning, humour and 'nods' to personal histories in every room were invaluable too. I came home with a wonderfully useful and inspiring mood-board as well as spending the day in a gorgeous, inspirational setting with a yummy lunch too - Lola is also a perfect hostess - a perfect day!

I didn't get to meet Lola in person for the project, I think that would have been nice at some point, regardless of service booked but that is a small thing and due to the type or project it was and location, it wasn't deemed necessary. Lola was available on line.I booked one of her design services for our bathroom. We were looking to totally renovate it using the existing footprint of the room, no extending. That was a big thing in itself because we only have one bathroom in our house and it's small. Even though for 30 odd years we had managed to have in there a bath shower toilet and sink.I knew the kind of thing I wanted, in keeping with some of our other rooms recently redecorated and I wanted to make it feel like a main room and less like just a functional space.I asked Lola for some help, to see what ideas she might have, partly to see if they were similar to what I was already thinking and because I follow her on Instagram and I love the colours that she uses.Lola came back to me with a colour scheme and some products for looking at and she also suggested a layout change.The layout change scared me at first because of our room being so small I wasn't sure if it was possible and also because it would mean changing sanitary ware around.I talked it through with my husband and we decided that if we could make the new layout work, then we would like to.This meant putting a lot of faith in the bathroom company where we bought our products and also in our bathroom fitter, as well as trusting ourselves in the decision we had made and being brave.We didn't get the products on Lola's list and I changed the colour scheme around to fit with what I knew in my heart I wanted, and taking my husband's own views into account, we compromised on some things, I stood my ground with my husband on painting the inside of the bathroom door!But where Lola was concerned, we took inspiration from what she had suggested and I think that the end result speaks for itself. We have a lovely room now, and it feels cosy and glam at the same time.And no one can get over the amount of space that we now have, space that we didn't have before. We owe the layout change to Lola!

I’m so pleased I was able to attend Lola’s recent Colour Workshop. I came away inspired and with the confidence to use my new found knowledge to design rooms in my new home. The lunch was delicious, the surroundings gorgeous, and I met some new people who were the perfect company to learn with. Thank you Lola!

I LOVED the colour workshop Lola hosted. It was so inspiring and really helped me think about interior design and styling in a different way. It was practical but also really creative - a great combination. I have used the experience to really help me with my renovation plans in a way that I simply wouldn't have been able to without Lola's expertise. I would highly recommend Lola's courses. She is extremely knowledgable and creative and the whole day was a delight. Thrilled to have experienced it.
