Update - a few weeks later and we’ve since got another gorgeous rug from Stephen; he knew I was after a specific style of blue runner for the hall to swap around from time to time with the red one we’d already bought - he found a couple for us to try and dropped them by when he was in the area, no obligation to buy one. Needless to say we did and I’m delighted with it! Stephen is happy to go the extra mile, thank you!……….We bought a few rugs from Stephen recently at the Sherborne sale, absolutely delighted with them and excellent service all round.

Hughes Rugs is an excellent company to clean and restore your fine rugs. We have had two of ours cleaned and repaired/ re-weaved from pet damage, one extensively, all with beautiful results. I highly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to use their services in the future. They also pick up and drop off. Pricing is very reasonable.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this company. Steven listened to exactly what we wanted, a few days later brought round various rugs, they were all lovely, but one just stood out. It's exactly what we had imagined and goes so well in our newly decorated room. Thankyou Steven!

Mr Hughes deep cleaned our 30 year old Chinese rug and another wool and silk rug - the results are spectacular. Both rugs look brand new again. Great work and great service. Thank you

We are delighted! A superb service from an experienced, knowledgeable and skilful company. Thirty plus years of dirt, wear and tear were erased through their cleaning process and repair of fringes. Our rugs were returned to display their original bright and vibrant colours. All at Hughes Rugs executed a superb job, and we will use them again (well before another 30 years has passed!). I have been buying wonderful rugs from Stephen for over 15 years. He and his wife Marie are the epitome of a proper family business. Nothing is too much trouble whether it’s allowing you to try out a rug, moving furniture around or even dismantling chairs.I can vouch for the fact that the rugs are super high quality as they are still as thick and lush as they were when I first bought them. Plus Stephen has been brilliant about really listening to what we like and want and has never failed to find the exact colour, size and pattern that complimented the relevant room perfectly.I bought my 10th rug today and as ever it is a joy. I cannot recommend Stephen and Marie highly enough.

Stephen and his team did a fantastic job on our family heirloom carpet - it was quite neglected, with some minor damage and probably hadn't had a professional clean in decades, but it looks amazing now - you can't even spot where the repairs have been made! We are absolutely thrilled with the result; brilliant service, would highly recommend.
