Really nice walk , lots of water foul , great scenery

This is a lovely walk With plenty of Wildlife Can be quite busy at times But nevertheless Quite enjoyable

A pleasant easy walk which is suitable for all mobility levels.The route can be started from the Moira railway station car park or a mile further along at the Soldierstown car park.The canal towpath is popular with walkers, runners and dog walkers.There was pleasantly little dog mess or litter on our visit.Birldlife is plentiful and particularly so at Broadwater, for example, Moorhens, Coots, Mute Swans, Tufted Ducks and Little Grebes.This is a nice place to walk along if you are in the area.

Lovely 3 mile linear walk along the canal path and Broad Water lake that stretches between Moira and Aghalee. Great place to spot birdlife and popular for fishing. There's free parking at Moira train station and this is where the walk starts. The 6 mile return walk will take about 2 hours.

Lovely walk, at all times of the year, you can walk the entire length from Aghalee to Moira train station, Swans over winter here and some stay in to hatch young. For those with a fishing licence Pike and Tench are present along with other species. Warning there are no Toilet facilities AT ALL. The nearest is a short drive away at the BP garage in the airport road near the railway bridge. Please clean up after your dog and do not leave dog poo in bags lying on the floor or tied to a tree. Quiet waterway. Good for watching birdlife

Flat, well maintained footpath along the canal suitable terrain for all walkers and wheelchair access. Canal itself is well silted in places. Plenty of bird life around.
