James, Tom and Dewi planned and executed the careful felling of two challenging ash trees, adjacent to property and a public road, with great care, technical expertise and professionalism. We were engaged and kept informed as the work progressed. Great communications at all times. The team went the extra mile to make sure everything was tidied up at the end, and that we were satisfied with their work. In fact, we were delighted! A real pleasure to deal with a professional company that provided a great value service. Highly recommended.

James and his team arrived promptly to start work on our very large ash tree. Excellent advice and professional service,from cutting the tree down,stowing the logs away into our shed and tidying up all the debris left afterwards. Would highly recommend and will use again in the future.

James and his team arrived early morning to start work. He was sympathetic to our wishes surounding our large Ash tree and gave good advice regarding the best way forward. At one point during the day there was a lot of debris, when the cutting stopped the debris was quickly collected together and cleared away, at the end of the day the enitre garden was spotless. Apart from the obvious work on our tree you would never know any work had taken place.. I would highly recommend 'Back of the Woods' and will use James again in the future. Excellent advice and professional polite service.

James did a great job on some trees that were encroaching on the highway (pointed out by the council). He friendly, warm and efficient. Following the felling and removal of six mature trees from our garden I would recommend James and his firm without hesitation to anyone looking for anything to do with tree surgery. James is extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of tree work, he and his colleagues are friendly and very polite. Advice given was fantastic. The work was carried out in a timely manner, safely, professionally and our property left clean and tidy. We will be using Back of the Woods again in the very near future.

James and mate Thomas came on time and were very friendly and most efficient. They cut one large birch tree down cutting and storing logs for me and keeping large trunk logs aside for later splittingAn untidy badly shaped large was cut and trimmed to a more suitable size nd again the logs were set aside neatly.As an extra they removed 2 small saplingsThey tidied and cleaned up so you would never know they’d been!I would certainly recommend them and they only had 2 coffees/ teas all day!

After struggling to fell two 9+ metre leylandii we called in the services of Back of the Woods. James provided us with a personally attended quote for clearing a significant amount of tree debris as well as the removal of said trees. He arrived on site on a less than favourable day with high winds and rain but completed the work methodically and speedily - a considerable challenge given the proximity of buildings and electric wires. Between himself and his assistant Jack he was done and cleared within six hours. We would not hesitate in recommending James and his company for their pleasant and energetic attitude towards their work.
