Hawthorns Caravan Park

Wonderful park!! Private and peaceful with excellently kept grounds. A perfect base to explore the Lake District from. My favourite part of the year is Spring when the daffodils and snowdrops appear!

A tranquil site in a great location, ideally placed for visiting the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. This is our second year at Hawthorns, it's the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The site manager, Mark is positive and approachable. David, the gardener does an exceptional job at keeping the park in pristine condition. We feel we made an excellent choice with Hawthorns, a lovely family owned site which is safe, welcoming and friendly.

I have a caravan here love it but was told at purchase free wi fi wrong not at all fit for purpose cant even get on netflix when more than 10 people on park. Each year told getting it sorted wrong never happening. Also was going to bring my sky box up but was told by the park if i upgraded to sky q the park was doing it also, wrong paid over 100 pound for piped sky which is now useless. When i sit here and constantly struggle to get any streaming telly it takes the shine of the time away. I honestly would forego this lovely park for the basics of modern life ie wifi.Mick

For 28 years we have owned a holiday home on Hawthorns and enjoyed every minute.Our parents loved to spend weekends with us and we are now on generation number four, our five-year-old Granddaughter. She adores having time at her" caravan

We have enjoyed having our Holiday Home on the peaceful Hawthorns Caravan Park for two years. During this time we have developed a great relationship with the helpful and supportive staff. The grounds and landscaped gardens are beautifully maintained and the location offers easy access to Southern Lakeland, The Yorkshire Dales and the Surrounding Countryside. The wildlife pond with its small waterfall and the tranquil atmosphere of the water feature on the area called the Glade are two of our favourite spots to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of these lovely of the site. We just love the relaxing atmosphere of this special place.

The site is an owner only, beautifully kept, well laid out static caravan site. The site manager Phil was very pleasant, not pushy and very helpful. It is situated a short distance from Carnforth by car. Buses pass the site. The Eagles Head pub a short distance away. Parking off road. Nice pub, food good. Altogether a very pleasant site.

Have had caravan here for nearly 12 years. It is a lovely, peaceful site.However its recently upgraded wi fi even if you have a DTL, is only intermittent at best.

We are in our 7th year at Hawthorne's. We just love the peace & quiet, our little bit of heaven up 13 steps & private. We're only 40 mins from home. With the coast & 2 national parks not far away, its perfect for us.

We have left it deliberately a month since purchasing our caravan at Hawthorns to write this review and we are pleased to say that the park has lived up to all our expectations.To start with, when we first expressed a interest in buying a caravan at the park Andy the Manager was very helpful and friendly and was not at all pushy showing us all our options within the price range that we had set ourselves. After deciding on the caravan of our choice Andy guided us through the process every step of the way. We have now found that the staff at The Park to be vey helpful nothing appears to to much trouble. As for the park itself it is beautifully maintained and very peaceful. It is a excellent park to get away from everyone's busy lifestyles. So well-done Hawthorns you have created a wonderful park with excellent management in Andy and the rest of the team

Hawthorn Caravan Park is perfectly situated 5mins from the M6 with lots to see and do in the area. The park is well space out on beautiful grounds gives you the feeling of a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Andy that showed us around was very friendly, helpful and answered all our questions .
