A2B Dog Training and Behaviour

I have had my 2 year old Romanian Rescue for just over 18 months. She was very easy to house train, didn't chew anything and was very playful. It took a while to get her out of the house and used to going for walks but she seemed to enjoy them. Little did I know, she was constantly in a state of high anxiety and was terrified of other dogs, but because she lunged and barked at them, and her tail wagged, I thought it was just her way of dealing with it and she would get used it. I was trying to push her towards dogs to show her it was fine. After several leads, collars, harnesses, bruises and cuts from being pulled over, I reached out to A2B dog training for some help. From the initial consultation to completion of the 8 week anxious dog programme, I learned so much about Bellas body language, how to read it and how to make her feel safe. The techniques you learn and the games are both fun for you and your dog. Doreen is fabulous, very patient and is always there for guidance throughout. We had both virtual and in person meetings which both worked as well as each other. I still have a way to go with Bella, but I now have the skills and confidence to take her out and she loves her training. I would recommend Doreen and A2B to anyone wanting to resolve issues with their dog. I have such a different dog now to the one I had 8 weeks ago. Forever grateful to Doreen who is an amazing trainer.

We contacted Doreen for help with Luna, our Romanian rescue who had become fearful of walking from our front door and refused to love when we put her lead on. Doreen helped us go back to basics to learn the importance of trust. Through her strategies and exercises we were able to build a much firmer foundation of trust with Luna so she could feel secure that we weren’t going to push her to do something she didn’t want to. The end result was an enthusiastic dog trotting out of the door on her lead. Our difficult family circumstances meant that the work was slow but Doreen was very patient and supported us throughout. We are very grateful for her help and can highly recommend her!

No question Doreen has a way with dogs, I could see what my collie pup is capable of by watching her with him. She is honest and says what she sees, gives tips on everything from the relationship you have with your dog to how you hold yourself, some things you're too close to see yourself. I have learned a great deal, lots to focus on in our own training. Highly recommend

We are now half way through our course with Doreen at A2B Dog Training and Behaviour and are amazed at the progress our rescue dog is showing.Doreen has an incredibly calming and gentle way with both our dog and us when teaching us what to do.Thanks to Doreen we understand changing our dogs unwanted behaviour will take time as it is rooted in fear but she has taught us so much already we can see a much more positive and calm future with our beloved dog.

Just completed the 7 week rescue package, done over zoom but Doreen is always contactable by WhatsApp if needed. It's been brilliant and has really helped with our Romanian rescue, Doreen trained us as well and pointed out where we were going wrong! Still work in progress but we're getting there with Doreen's help. Would recommend if your struggling.

Doreen was wonderful with my anxious dog. We got brilliant practical advice which has been very effective with our dog and as a result we are all happier as a family, not just our dog! Doreen was very knowledgeable and we have learnt more about our dog's behaviour which has enabled us to understand further why he is anxious. We would highly recommend her services.

When I took on a rescue dog from Macedonia I really didn't know what I was letting myself in for. After 2 months I was still struggling to bond and Lindy was frightened to spend any time indoors. Doreen from A2B dog training was an absolute wonder. I was a bit worried at first that the remote Zoom session would not be effective. I needn't have worried. Under Doreens guidance in just a few weeks Lindy was a changed dog spending time sitting with me indoors in the evening. Lovely companionship.Overseas rescue dogs do need special treatment. If you have a problem with one, big or small, I recommend A2B dog training.

A couple if months ago I couldn't go anywhere without my dog howling or crying when I left the roomDoreen our trainer understood us right away and explained how our dog was feeling. With her passion and love for her job she gave us the tools to know how to spot his anxious moments and taught us what to doShe was so easy to talk to and we definitely got our moneys worth with having contact with her 24/7We were never rushed on our meetings and the app was really easy to follow and use. In amongst all of this she gave us other tips on how we could train ziggy .This isn't about a business for Dorren ,it's her passion. Every backward step ziggy took she could spot right away what was going on.We are 8 weeks down the line now and we have a totally different dog because of Doreen and our hardwork.
