Don’t believe their advertised opening times. I drove 40 minutes to get some replacement glass and got there a good 10 minutes before it was supposed to shut. What a waste of time and petrol

From the outset the service was outstanding.I knew the fire we wanted - a Clearview and it is perfect, and extremely efficient.We were told on ordering that it would take time as the uptake on Stoves is very high.The fitters have gone above and beyond the call of duty in their care and quality of their work, and we would recommend them wholeheartedly. This shop seems to have been given some scathing reviews, which given our experience seems to be grossly unfair. Maybe the way you treat people has an effect on the way they treat you?!

We received some great service initially when we visited the shop. The lady was very helpful and knowledgeable, and we subsequently asked for a quote for installation of a stove.We set an initial date for the visit, which I had to change later but I contacted the shop and made an arrangement for a new visit. While away my wife received an irate call from the shop asking why no-one was in when the original visit happened. She explained that we had moved the date and agreed a new one with them. The person on the other end of the phone then apologised.The visit then happened and we agreed a price for a stove. Their approved fitter was then asked to come and quote for the building work. I arranged to work from home on that day. Two hours after the agreed time I contacted the fitter who turned up a further hour later. I got the impression he'd forgotten about the whole thing. He agreed to have a quote in writing to us within a few days.We then went on holiday for 2 weeks. On our return there was no quote. I once again had to call the fitter to chase him up. At this point we decided not to use him, but still purchase the stove. We were given a very good price on an ex-display model, and we bought it along with some sundry items.Two weeks after buying the stove the shop contacted me telling me I'd underpaid the agreed price. I explained I was very surprised at this as I'd paid in the shop after paying an initial deposit, and it was after all a staff member who worked out the balance. The person on the phone apologised and said she couldn't understand it either.So in all a very nice shop with knowledgeable staff, but terrible service. I would buy a stove from them again, but I'd double check the final price when paying and I'd find my own builder.

Great service from start to finish. Selected the stove from their showroom where their staff were very helpful. They organised the installation, stripping out the old fire place, fully preparing the space for the new log burner and then fitting. We booked them in around our other trades who were in to redcorate the room, fit curtains etc and they were so flexible. Everyone who visited polite, professional and very clean. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Our initial visit to the shop was very promising. A knowledgable woman advised us and this was followed by a helpful visit from the owner. We decided on the fire for us.That's when the trouble started. After a few weeks the installer visited us and when he did he was surly and seemed uninterested in doing the job. Hearing nothing for two weeks I phoned the shop, who wanted an extra £100 for the installer to come back for a second look. I agreed but he never came. After yet another month I phoned the shop again and they managed to get the installer to telephone me. He was unapologetic but did agree to get back to me to make another appointment. That was the last I heard from him.After leaving it a few weeks I outlined the whole dismal history to Woodstock fires on their web contact form, asking for their advice as to how we should proceed. Astonishingly, they never replied.In summary, they stock wide range of fires and are happy to discuss your choice of fire, but then seem to have no interest in going beyond that. I wouldn't go back there except to collect brochures.

5 stars from us, the guys that fitted the stove were amazing, were very accommodating with our dog and the van we couldn't move. The fire is lovely and will definitely get alot if use. Really glad we went to a local company not a large one. Thanks All

Excellent service from start to finish. Very knowledgeable lady in the shop, the gentleman who came to quote obviously knew his stuff. The installation team very great, they sheeted the floors did the installation hoovered up all in a day. Great job. Would highly recommend this company. We live at the beach and we rang to say that the chimney was rattling when the wind was blowing a gale, they were there within days and fitted extra stays no extra charge. Not many companies do that these days.

We had an inset stove fitted late Summer and it was fitted on time with very helpful installers. It has been the best investment made in this leaky listed building and I can’t recommend this company enough as throughout the process to completion it was properly done and we are very happy we chose them.

Just had our Stovax woodburner door fixed - new glass, screws replaced (old ones had rusted solid) and new seals. Beautiful job, friendly staff, good price - very pleased!

We were looking for a wood burner stove but clearly hit a bummer. The owner (We presume it was) never greeted us, wasn’t interested in us and didn’t clearly want to bother with a sale or even want us in his shop. He has 2 dogs in the shop but I only say this as a warning in case you are afraid or allergic. We have no problem with dogs but are aware that others might. Arrogant and disinterested service, avoid if you can
