I was looking to replace a firebrick set for my stove. It turned out that the base bricks (which are moulded so impossible to replicate elsewhere) were obsolete.Carol at Bowland Stoves really went the extra mile communicating with the manufacturer to find a solution - I now have an alternative which will give me years more use of the stove.Helpful, prompt and efficient 5 stars!

Firstly the order and delivery of the item was easy and quick. Which was perfect as we ordered a rear fire brick for our stove, which arrived in time for the cold snap.What is extremely disappointing is that we have had the rear fire brick, less than 9 days and held 3 small fires to ensure the brick settles. However, after the 3rd fire the brick split in half.I contacted the team, and explained we held 3 small fires and followed the guidelines for the brick to crack straight through. We only have a small stove Helios 5, so impossible to through a log in (we only use wood)The reason for the point above is that this business offer no warranty or guarantee on their bricks, and hide behind the lack of warranty from their supplier. Even thought I explained all the above, the response I received is as quoted’’ Brick liners can crack at any point the common reasons for these to crack prematurely are;Thermal shock – new Bricks should be brought up to temperature with small fires before firing at the stove’s full capacity.Impact from fuel being placed in the stove or with pokers or shovels.Using fuel with a high moisture content can weaken bricks.Bricks placed on an uneven base/backOver fuelling the stove.Banking fuel against the brick.Basically releasing all efforts to resolve a query after spending £40, I would expect the item to last longer than 9 days and not have the business wash their hands.

Awful. Part arrived much later than advised, communication was poor, they never answer the phone, they have the wrong part numbers on their site so the wrong part arrives and then they argue with you about £7.95. This business is appalling. 4 weeks with no stove in January is not good.

Great selection of wood burning stoves and all the accessories you may need including fuel etc. Very helpful people and a great service. Highly recommended.

Quick delivery and communication. Bought the stove wax melt burner and it even come with some wax melt which I thought was a lovely personal touch. Would definitely use again.
