University of Bath Library

Lots of good supercon work going here!

People just talk in the quiet rooms. There is no enforcement. After I reported it to reception, I was referred to the librarian who was said to be somewhere in the building. I couldn't find her/him. This university library does not offer silent study place. I experience this library as bad.

A library at the University of Bath! What more could you want? Well... maybe a Cornish pasty though the Students' Union nearby does some swell ones and there's a beautiful lake nearby perfect for drowning things, so convenient, 5 stars, would recommend.

Lovely place to visit

I intend for this to be informative, not overly nice, harsh, or funny. I am a second year.PROS-> Close to accommodation & bus station-> Vending machines have food-> Close to food shops nearby-> Many computers with good softwares-> Many outlets to charge laptop-> Quite a few staff-> Good selection of books, several floors-> Special reserved areas for postgrads, interviews and silent study.-> Nice views-> Openable windows-> Cool concrete stairwells to relax and have phonecallCONS-> Toilets, both male and female, are worse than in a nightclub.-> NO WATER FOUNTAINS - apart from just outside the toilet... delish... and no cups there for some environmental" (i.e. money saving) reason.-> Unlike a normal university library

It's a great library! You do need to be enrolled with the university to be able to use it, but they have a great automatic system for borrowing ans returning books. A lot of space for students to work, as well as rooms you can book in advance for groups.

Is a amazing wonderful university..I like it

Good selection of literature and library services. The only problem is space, or lack thereof. In peak times during term, it's very hard to find a seat, almost impossible during revision/exams period.

Pleasant quiet new year's eve on the campus. Hot sun-trap beside the lake. Fed the ducks. Students who were around were cheerful even though they were not spending there break at home.

Bath library is like a second home to me. I have slept here, eaten here, and even shaved in the 3rd floor Gender neutral toilets. You will learn to laugh with friends in 2nd floor, cry at 3 am in the 4th floor and love the views from the 5th floor. If you like to chill and talk with friends, or if you're looking for some deep studying in the quiet areas, this is the place for you. I hope you take care of it like I have for the past 5 years.
