Wolds Edge Holiday Lodges

The lodge was beautiful. Everything about it was first class.My wife and I booked one of the romantic lodges with a hot tub and it was perfect.The lodge is very secluded and it is so quiet.Loved the chickens that came to our door everyday.Was met by Steve who is extremely friendly and chatty guy and could not do enough for you.The surrounding countryside is great, lovely walks.The village is only a couple of minutes walk and there is a great pub that does lovely evening meals and the staff are very friendly.Overall, this is an exceptional lodge, well worth the money and we had two wonderful days.I would highly recommend Wolds Edge and we will definitely be booking to stay again.

Our 6th visit to Wolds Edge but last time was pre Covid. Still an excellent place to stay. Hot tub is just the icing on the cake. The kids loved that every morning and evening. We normally go to York every day as there's so much to do, but this time, we nipped over to Scarborough anow there's a d was pleasantly surprised upon how nice the place is. P&R there is great too. Now there's a dog friendly lodge, we will look to book again.

My husband and I, together with our dog, stayed in Mill Pond Lodge. Lovely and clean lodge with great facilities. Very homely and personal touches added. Quiet and idyllic location - the village is beautiful with a great community shop and pub. We would definitely come back!

Stayed for 2 nights in one of the Shepherd's huts. Fantastic facilities. Having our own bathroom just a stone's throw away was great. Everything spotless, lovely touch having a food hamper too. We came over during a cold snap and the wood burner kept things very warm. You have to pay extra for the wood but you get loads for the money. A single load will get the small space very warm.We walked to the local pub for food one of the nights, probably a 5-10 minute walk away. Lovely idyllic village.Would love to visit again in one of the larger lodges next time.

Spend 3 nights at the tree house which was absolutely gorgeous. A lovely friendly welcome by Ruth & the team. The surroundings were very peaceful which created a relaxing vibe, it was lovely being in the hot tub under the stars. We would highly recommend this relaxing getaway. Just spent 3 nights in the Honeydale Lodge, which was fantastic. The lodge comes with everything you need and the hot tub was amazing. Due to the layout of the site, each lodge feels very private and peaceful.The staff are super friendly and location is great. There's a village shop and pub within walking distance but Stamford Bridge is only a few minutes drive away if you're looking for more amenities.Highly recommended if you're looking for a romantic getaway or relaxing break and we will definitely return.

Absolutely fabulous, one of our favourite places to chill. It’s like coming home every time we drive into Bishop Wilton. Ruth and team are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. We have stayed in the shepherds huts and lodge, both equally as great as one another depending on what kind of break you want. Heaven.

Me and my partner just spent the week in the Lilydale Lodge and it has been an absolute joy. A beautiful place next to a lovely little village where everyone was so friendly. There is a pub and a shop just down the road if you forget anything or want a drink or two! This lodge was just INCREDIBLE. You’re so close to nature - was lovely to watch the birds, squirrels and chickens who would visit us each morning. The hot tub is so relaxing and you can just enjoy the beautiful scenery whilst forgetting all your worries. There are some lovely little walks around too so you can get a change of scenery (not that you’d need it because it’s so beautiful on the grounds). We really enjoyed the breakfast and tea/coffee hamper that was left for us ready for our arrival. Great value for money! We also got a bottle of bubbly on arrival which was lovely. I want to give a special thank you especially to Steve who greeted us with a warm welcome, looked after us throughout our stay, always had a smile on his face and gave us information about the area!! We will definitely be back here as we’ve fallen in love with the place. Thank you for providing us with wonderful memories of this sleepy, beautiful little village ❤️
