Hatt Adventures

Instructor needs to wear branded clothing to save wandering around the car park looking for the group. Very little actual instruction and the routes were very hard and not suited to absolute beginners. For the size of the group there should have been two instructors to keep the momentum going as there were extended periods of time just hanging around as there was only one or two routes set up. No instructions on how to do that either which was a shame as it was quite expensive. He was nice enough but overall a disappointment.

Hatt Adventures were brilliant! We were running a charity abseil event and Tom and Andy were so calm on the day and knew exactly what they were doing to help get our supporters abseiling down the cliffs. Some of our supporters were very nervous and the Hatt guys made them feel at ease.The event ran very smoothly and we are delighted to have raised over £6,500 for our charity! Emmas was also extremely helpful on the lead up to the abseil and helped us advertise our event on social media.A very positive experience- would highly recommend. Our supporters were keen to do future events for us and had nothing but good feedback for Hatt Adventures too!

We did a 2 day lead climbing course in the Peak District and absolutely loved it. Our instructors Alex and Jon were professional, very knowledgeable and able to tailor the course to our particular needs and requirements. We had a huge amount of fun and learned so much. Thank you thank you, 100% recommend.

This past weekend we attended a Sandstone Ropework course at Harrisons Rocks with Hatt Adventures and were blown away by both the contents of the course and its delivery.Tom our instructor was fantastic, you could tell he was really passionate about climbing and was extremely experienced. He delivered information that had the potential to be a bit confusing and less exciting than the climbing part (knots and what not!) in such a way that was easy to understand and get to grips with quickly. Wherever he could Tom was giving tips and advice and was more than happy to answer any questions we had, it was brilliant coaching.The course content was thorough so we feel happy to visit the crags again and set up with confidence. The day was all round epic and we'll be using Hatt Adventures for all our future climbing education!

I was recently bought a rock climbing experience by my wife with Hatt Adventures. It took place at Harrison Rocks in Sussex and we were led by the fantastic Kyle and Sam. They were so wonderfully welcoming and fun, and for someone who's pretty nervous of heights, I felt at ease and comfortable straight away.They get you climbing super fast, starting with an easy scramble before heading up your first rock face. You're split into teams which is great, so you get to know the people you're with and you're pretty dependent on them as they have hold of the safety line as you take it in turns. Sam and Kyle are always on hand with advice and encouragement when you're unsure if you can go any further and they'll even give you a little bunk up if you just can't reach that much needed foothold!I was amazed that with very little experience (none at all actually) I was able to climb what looked like and left like some really difficult rock faces. It was such an immense sense of achievement. I think though most of all, I was impressed with how you're treated like adults throughout. It's so refreshing, and really made the experience much more fun.Kyle and Sam were fantastic teachers, very well organised and determined to get you climbing as much as you can in a session. Highly recommended - if you're looking to push those fears a little bit, these guys will take damn good care of you. Cheers fellas for a cracking morning!

I spent the weekend with instructor Dai at Blackland Farm completing the 2-day Outdoor First Aid Level 3 Course as required by my new job. I had an amazing experience and would recommend it to anyone who is outdoorsy or sporty, as the skills I learned are also relevant to the activities I enjoy in my personal life as well as my role. My instructor was very experienced, understanding, attentive and enthusiastic and there wasn't one moment where I felt attending a course on a weekend for work was a drag - I loved it! Realistic scenario learning in the woods and a small cohort made the difference for me. Would love to take more courses with Hatt in the future.

All the way! great experience all around, called them to ask about courses and services on two occasions and both times they were very helpful and took the time to explain it all as well as sending further detail by email right away.Instructors on both climbing courses I have done with these guys were great, making the experience even more pleasant. Will definitely come back for more.If you thinking about giving Hatt Adventures a go don't think twice, do it! totally worth it.Heads up: you gonna keep coming back for more!

I went on the Sandstone Ropework course instructed by Tom at Harrison's rocks a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely loved it! The whole day was really informative, and Tom is a great instructor - very welcoming and very knowledgeable. The structure of the course really allowed us to understand the fundamentals of the ropework techniques, and has set me up perfectly to climb there again without an instructor. Well worth it and would definitely recommend!!!

I've done the climbing and abseiling experience with Kyle and Mark who led both the sessions, they were really friendly, gave some good tips and picked some decent routes for the group to climb.After doing this course, I went on the Sandstone ropework course to find out more about setups so I can climb by myself, instruction was amazing! Tom was really friendly and thorough with what he was teaching us and let us learn by doing and practicing creating own setups which really valuable to get feedback and advice on things to look out for.I went by myself for both which didn't matter as we were put into groups for each activity. I've done a bit of indoor climbing, it was totally different being outdoor and I felt in safe hands the whole time. Had amazing experiences both times and would highly recommend Hatt to anyone!

Did the outdoor climbing experience on Harrison's rocks in Sussex. Really friendly staff and great day out. Safety was great and good into to outdoor climbing. Would have liked slightly longer runs to get my teeth into the climbing a little more.
