Antiques And Retro Antiques Centre

The Water Tower Antiques Centre has some of the best value antiques and collectables compared with the other centres at Hemswell Cliff. It has a slightly scruffy appearance, but that does not detract from the stock offered by the dealers there. Truly something for everyone.

We went in this unit today and the lady on the till was very unkind. I won’t ramble for hours and bore everyone but a member of our group has mental health problems and a learning disability and the lady’s completely unprovoked actions were extremely upsetting to her. We are a nice normal family and were treated like criminals and the lady made us feel intimidated. One member of our group is buying her first house and had collected triple-figures worth of items from various dealers and we were so uncomfortable that she left it all... so dealers should be advised that the lady lost you guys a big sale! We all left feeling very upset and won’t ever be going back. We have never been treated so badly by a staff member at any shop before. The other units at Hemswell have much nicer staff so go to them or risk having someone put a downer on your day!

There's plenty of different traders dealing from the Water Tower. Lots of ephemera available, be it modern, vintage, retro or antique. Many rooms to browse and you are not bombarded by staff being pushy. Almost everything is price tagged making things a lot easier. If visiting it is ideal to give yourself plenty of time to browse as there are a lot of things to see. Prices range from cheap bargains to expensive artifacts.

Amazing antiques centre, largest range of Midcentury furniture I have seen. Great prices, will definitely visit again.

Great place...took our 10 year old mad militaria boy and the people there were great...gave him a few little freebies to add to his collection. Will be returning soon with the soon to be 11 year old to spend his birthday money!!

Slightly poor when it says on Google, closing time of 17:00 on a Sunday yet get there at 15:30 to find it’s closed.

Antiques & Retro - brilliant! We bought a mid-century dining table and chairs, the owners went out of their way to make sure we got exactly what we were looking for, were really responsive and easy to deal with and sorted out a courier for us - would highly recommend!

We went for a trip out to Hemswell Cliff Antique Centre on Sunday and our last stop was Antiques and Retro all i can say is we certainly saved the best 'till last. A totally different ball game to everything else at Hemswell. Beautiful layout, loads of retro pieces, no 'tat'. The owner Mike went out of his way to help us and the desk we purchased is perfect.. i cannot recommend Antique and Retro enough.. What a pleasure we will without a doubt be back.
