Disgusting service from Leeds to Manchester.. people stood like sardines for well over an hour. One poor woman with a baby struggled to get to the bathroom and back because the train was so full image of train at Stalybridge heading to Manchester piccadillyDO NOT YOU USE THIS SERVICE.

We travelled first class from Scunthorpe to Liverpool recently, and had a great journey. Our reserved seats were spacious and comfortable, and we appreciate the free refreshments.Returning home at 2pm, the train was very crowded from Manchester and a lot of people were forced to stand. The situation eased by Doncaster.

Wish I’d of checked the reviews out before upgrading to first class, all you get for a rather large fee is a different colour seat and that’s it! And they were filthy, the drop-down trays in front of you were disgusting completely stained from previous journeys and there’s zero offer of refreshments which I thought were complimentary on first class tickets??? However the two train conductors were proper pigging out on a the spare table seats available!! Absolutely awful. (This was the Hull - Huddersfield train 11:03 on 5th April 2023)

If I could give them minus I definitely would my wife booked our trains from Manchester airport to Penrith after flying back from Malta we went to get our first train only to be told no trains were running but a bus was laid on off we went to Bolton by bus got too Bolton and got a Northern train to Preston we arrived at Preston got to our platform looked at the screen which read 2103 now arriving at 2118 a few moments later it said 2128 arrival then at 2057 the announcement came the train was cancelled I was livid luckily there was an avant West Coast due at 2141 and we boarded that . Transpennine Express you should hold your head in shame treating your customers with no respect or care oh and too rub salt in our wounds the cancelled train turned up at the station sat there for 10 minutes then left , I won't ever use this company again worst train service I've ever dealt with .

I brought two advance tickets together. Our seats were assigned and I was not allowed to select them. I gave them a one star because they assigned us seats that were not seated together. I purchased two tickets together to get two seats seated together. Also the trays on the back of the seats were dirty and had trash on them. The train ride itself was lovely.

Without a doubt the worst train operator in Britain. Trains cancelled more often than not. Only plus side is with delay repay you essentially get to travel for free due to the delay in waiting for the next suitable train.

The worst train service ever ,I have been trying to get a refund for a journey myself my partner and assistance dog made from leeds to Cardiff via Manchester, what should have been.a 5 hour journey going took 8 and three trains ,the journey back took nine hours and four trains one of which had no useable toilet as a junkie was in one and the other was full of poo,we got back to Manchester to be told there were no trains to Leeds so had to get a train to Huddersfield then Leeds all this at a cist of 200 pounds ,Northern rail where I booked my tickets have gone above and beyond trying to help me even exulating this twice to transpenine e who keep saying they have received nothing you have picked on the wrong person because I will take this as far as possible you are without a doubt utterly disgusting .

On 12/7/2023 on the day of my flight from Manchester to Leeds I showed my ticket to the ticket machine staff which was valid but unknowingly I took the wrong train company.I was later informed by staff that I would have to pay a penalty of £104.90 or if I paid now it would be reduced to £54.90 if I paid in cash, which is why I paid in cash then.Staff Description:An English maleConventional Physics5 feetSlightly baldHe spoke to me very, very rudelyHe was racist because he hated me and an African woman. At that time I paid 54.90, but now I have been informed that I have not paid CTV will prove my innocence .So citizens should know that your employees are very racistLet everyone know that you are a fraudulent, racist company

Booked a train ticket at the machine with the departure time clearly visible. 5 min later the train is cancelled a mere 10 min before departure because 'a member of staff was unavailable' (message on the screen).
