The bathroom door was in a faulty. I would recommend that the building has a waste disposal facility for those who go wild camping and have no way to clean out their rental van before returning it. Simple facilities including a bin would be helpful so that you can empty out your rental van and clean all the facilities. Overall, we had quite a good experience with our camper van!

Camper van wasn’t very clean on arrival with old single use cutlery and crumbs in side pockets from previous passengers as well as a stain on the cushions which looked like someone had been sick before. The chairs and table for sitting outside were damaged from previous customers and the kitchen equipment was all over the place. There were different cutlery sets and blunt knives. Other than this, the rest of the van seemed to be quite comfortable to move around in with everything else working as it should. We had some problems with the fridge leaking on several occasions but that could just be as a result of the ice tray being too full. The contactless pick up worked fine for us but we were a bit confused as to what we should do when returning the camper van. Having a member of staff present when returning the van would help if you have any questions to ask. Ideal for a small trip up the Highlands! The staff is super friendly. You can also save a lot of money as you can camp nearly everywhere by the side of the road. Don't expect a super comfy bed though, but as a camper you probably won't expect much in the first place.

Really happy we chose to rent from Spaceships, we rented a caddy and had no issues during our week of travel.The staff were really responsive which I appreciated and they were very accommodating with our last minute booking.

My girlfriend and I did a lot of research to find out the least sketchy motorhome rental company. By reading a lot of reviews and blogs, we went for the Spaceships campervans. This was the best decision we made, since we really enjoyed driving this fully equipped motorhome (family motorhome).The day before pick-up, we received all detailed pictures of the motorhome to record all damage which was already done on the motorhome before rental, which gave us a lot of comfort. The motorhome was ready in time at pickup. Everything is clearly explained in a guide located in the motorhome + the video on Youtube, which is made by Spaceships, explained everything very clear. We never used a motorhome before, so this was a very good experience for our first time driving/using a motorhome. We did not have any breakdown while being on a trip. The heating in the motorhome was very easy to use. We did not have to refuel the LPG tank (used the motorhome for 8 days).We took maximum coverage to be sure (which I can recommend on the scottish roads). While being on our roadtrip we also got a reminder that, if we have some damage, we have to report it while our rental is ongoing (otherwise it is not covered). Yesterday, we received a mail to confirm our motorhome is was damage free.Conclusion: Very trustworthy rental company (how every rental company should be)

What a good company, the customer service is great! They checked in after a couple days on the road to make sure all was well and immediately answered questions I had.Loved the campervan! Really enjoyed driving the manual transmission, and the van ran smooth the whole way. I found so many sweet spots to park it and camp for the night while in Scotland.The pick-up/drop-off was super smooth, and that was nice because I didn’t really know what to expect.This is a company free from hidden charges (do get the insurance just in case), and super supportive of my journey. I highly recommend Spaceships!

Rented the luxury motorhome for a 10 day trip around the Scottish Highlands. Van was clean, everything was in order, the pickup and drop off was a very simple process which didn’t take time at all. The booking process which we did online was very user friendly too. All in all, everything was perfect and I’d definetely recommend spaceships to anyone.

We had a great time with our Spaceship motorhome!1. Vehicle pick-up [5/5 stars]The pick-up was well arranged. You can retrieve the keys to the vehicle in a key-locker system at the location using an app. It’s quick and efficient. Staff at the garage were friendly and helpful.2. Preparation and communication [5/5 stars]The company communicated well with us. After the booking we received information and a useful instruction video. We did not need any service during our holiday so I can’t tell if that would be good. There were numbers displayed in the vehicle that you can call in case you need help.3. Vehicle [5/5 stars]We had ‘Mars’. A Fiat Ducato motorhome, a diesel-powered automatic transmission. A great, modern and reliable vehicle. No issues throughout the holidays and safe (also when driving up the hill).4. Equipment [4.5/5 stars]All was working well inside the vehicle. Cooking and dining equipment was good. The only thing missing would be a cafetière for good coffee. There’s no WiFi aboard of the vehicle. Electric cables, outdoor fishingchairs and table were fine. The bed was okay-ish. There were some slats missing from the base which made sleeping less comfortable.5. Returning the vehicle [5/5 stars]You have to return the vehicle at the same level as pick-up. Does not need to be full. This is often the case at other rentals. Which was nice. Again, quick and easy hand-in.Note on booking a motorhome:Please consider the size of the vehicle that you’d like to book for your holiday. A motorhome is a large and wide vehicle for the small roads in Schotland/the Highlands. It took me a day or two to get used to it and it was still quite intense to drive it.The comfort is next level though. At arrival it takes only little to set up and be comfortabele. Cold or midges? No problem, you can close the door and sit comfy inside. No need to reorganise every day. Also, it’s tall-people friendly:)Hope you’ll find this review useful.Cheers

We have rented a Voyager van from this company. Unfortunately, we had an extremely poor experience.The Voyager van was a huge disappointment as it proved to be dreadfully uncomfortable. If you are considering staying for more than two nights rather reconsider your plans. We have stayed 11 nights and it was terrible. It is basically only a van with an extremely uncomfortable bed and a small fridge. The explanatory video of the van is very basic so you have to discover how to use and control the van mostly yourself.The bed was making noises whenever we moved. Inspite of following all the instructions to set it up the bed did not stay straight all night and it always collapsed so there was a bump in the middle.The additional battery only supports the fridge so you cannot even charge your phone from it. There is not an additional heating which you could use at least when being in a campsite connected to electricity. Thus, it may get very cold (rented in September) in the night and water condensate on the windows inside so the car gets very wet inside in the morning. There is even a mould around some of the windows.Furthermore, we had problems with the car battery every morning when starting the car from the very first day. We just prayed that the car starts every single day.On the second day an orange control light appeard on the dashboard warning that the tyre sensors do not work. When I phoned to Starships they just told to me to check the tyres myself and if nothing seems to be wrong that we should just ignore it and continue. Not even offering me a personal check or a car change (we were still in Edinburgh).The cutlery in the car is just a joke. Very old, used and dirty. It took us ages to clean it properly.We got two cookers both very old and worn out (like from a different century). One did not work at all and the second one worked only poorly and on the third day it almost exploded when the gas was leaking also from somewhere else than it is supposed to. The cooker caught on fire and it was just luck that we were able to stop it. What a rubbish! From this day we rather did not use it at all and when we wanted hot food we just had to go to a restaurant (significantly increasing the costs of vacation).20 pounds for a table and two chairs that are probably worth the same price? Ridiculous! This cheap equipment should be included in the rental (not an extra).Regarding the customer service of Spaceships I would point out that when we needed an address in Scotland where to have delivered our day 2 PCR covid test kits, Spacehips simply refused to do us this little favor and refused to accept the mail for us. Thus, we needed to find another place where to have it delivered. Luckily, a rival rental company helped us out (thanks Easicampers).I absolutely understand that you prefer contactless drop off because you would not hear anything positive from us. I regret every penny we have given to you for your poor service.Spaceships? More like Spaces*its.

I was so pleased with renting with SpaceShips. Rented a small caddy, everything you needed in the car. Very comfortable, and a lot of space. We had some trouble with our cooler box that broke down, contacted Spaceships and they sorted it out for us so quick. They are very easy to get in contact with, and Mike who always seems to be on the phone, is lovely to answer all your questions. Highly recommend.
